Dave Ramsey Interview Update
So I had the 2nd interview for the sales position and they decided that wasn't the right fit for me, but that they know I'm a good fit for the company. They sent me a different position they hadn't opened up to the public yet and asked if I would be interested in interviewing for it. I went for it and had the interview yesterday afternoon. Received an e-mail 20 minutes after to fill out an assessment they'll use for interview #3. So I'm moving forward.
They did flat out tell me yesterday that they know they want me there. I'm a perfect fit for the company. My values, my drive, my ambition, my personality. They want me there. Now it's just making sure they place me in a position that I will thrive in. The one guy did warn me that he interviewed in 4 departments before they found the perfect place to fit him and he's so glad they do that. He came in, had some guidance, and was able to run with the job and be successful in an environment and position he excels in. So that did make me feel better.
H and I are still discussing a lot. A LOT! We're telling family tomorrow that we're pregnant and the pregnancy is definitely playing a big factor into whether or not we make this move. It means uprooting our family when I'm about 6 months pregnant and relocating 8 hours away from any family, then taking 3 months of unpaid leave only a few months into a new job.
We did do some researching and Nashville actually has a lower cost of living than where we currently live, so that's a big pro.
So yeah, lots of discussions are happening in the brij household right now.

Just curious. Did they tell you why they didn't think you'd be a good fit for the original position? And what are they now considering you for?
Wow! Sounds like a lot of good news, with a touch of bad (in re: to the current position you applied for).
I can imagine there is a lot of "what ifs/should we" going on in the brij household! I hope the best outcome happens for you, whatever that may be.
The biggest hangup was that it's 70% cold calling for the first 2 years. I wasn't afraid to tell them I'm not as comfortable in that situation but am definitely willing to learn. In my current role it's all soft leads and no cold calling. So it would be a learning curve. They said they've learned over the years to not place someone into a cold calling position if they aren't 100% comfortable with it or they will fail. So I am thankful that they didn't proceed me forward in the position knowing it wouldn't be the best fit.
