School Me on POAS

**PR?**

Ok, ok...I should have caught on by now with as long as I've been hanging around this board.

If you have a faint line, does that count as a positive? I told DH that it's a maybe (and that false positives are way less likely than false negatives)...I plan to POAS again later with not the Wondfos, but I am wondering.

Re: School Me on POAS

  • I got my very first faint line with DD at 4 weeks pregnant.  It was faint but it was there and it got darker as the days went on.  I was peeing sticks left and right.  Keep us updated.  GL!
  • A LINE IS A LINE!
    Congratulations!!!!!

    Pic?
Does the test have blue dye or pink dye? I know blue dye *can* have false positives, especially if after the 3 minute window. That being said, I totally think you're pregnant!

Also- I just noticed that you posted this yesterday. Did you test again this morning?

  • Thanks! Before the BFP, I felt "off".

I still feel like I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop. I go back tomorrow morning for my second beta check at the RE's office. My nurse there said they'll typically see me every two weeks to check things out and make sure things are progressing normally. My first ultrasound would be around 6w2d.

I keep peeing on all the sticks to make sure it gets darker. It's surreal.

Zero judgement from this girl.  I pee'd on a stick last week at 9 weeks because I knew it would make me feel better.  You do what you need to do to help your mind.

During my second beta yesterday, my thyroid was also tested. It came back elevated, so now I'm scrambling to find another doctor (an endocrinologist) to see me. I can't help but worry at this point...

  • @lfk2013 what would be bad about a thyroid being elevated?
  • Your thyroid levels do go up during pregnancy and the higher they are, the more they affect the development of the baby. My RE is very concerned since they were borderline before and have gone up since my first test in June/July.
