What are your plans for the weekend?
Re: Weekend Plans?
Friday- Gym, grocery shopping
Saturday- Visiting family, laundry
Sunday- Visiting family, cleaning
Friday - no plans
Saturday - Taking the kid to a birthday party while the wife works. Then heading to pickup a cake.
Sunday - Probably recovering in the hospital. Or dead.....:P
Saturday: Nothing planned, probably be really lazy and sleep, read and craft. If I have some motivation I will clean some of downstairs.
Sunday: Church and watching the Steelers playoff game with DH.
I should probably go to the store at some point this weekend too but I would rather not.
Saturday: we MARCH! I'm going to the Boston march with some friends and then a birthday party in the evening.
Sunday: my momma is coming over to make me a big batch of her awesome spaghetti sauce and meatballs so I can have some in my freezer.
Saturday - Marching with my mom
Sunday - Also hitting up restaurant week with a McCormick & Schmicks gift card I got for my birthday. Funny story about RW last year... The first place we went to, I got locked in the bathroom and it took them 20 minutes to take the glass door to the stall off its hinges and get me out. Needless to say our meal was free plus they gave us a $100 gift card. Totally worth it!!
Saturday - I think I'll be feeling more normal. My mom and I have plans to go to the outlet mall and an antiques market.
Sunday - Watch Atlanta beat the Packers!!!
I LOVE that! In NOLA, we have a restaurant month in August. Which is our low season for tourism (nobody wants to be here in August, lol), so its become an event for restaurants to drum up business from locals. It's my excuse to hit up 4-star restaurants on the cheap
and try some new ones.
Ugh, I double-booked myself for two lunch mystery shops today. One of them is more take-out, though, so I can still get them done. It's just annoying.
Saturday, p/t job in the morning, then Sam's Club and Walmart run. I also have a gift to pick up at Treasure Chest (local casino). It's an Emeril cutting board that has a drawer for knives (knives also included). It's a pretty slick design.
Sunday will be a lazy day, but I need to do some clean-up. Watch playoff games.
I just looked my near area up. They apparently do it, but haven't posted dates for 2017.
Saturday- it's our anniversary, so I'm going to the gym early so we can hang out. We have scheduled a couples massage and we have dinner reservations.
Sunday- gym with a coworker and grocery store/meal prep for the week. H starts an off week for Staff and Command school, so he'll be able to go back to cooking some dinners this coming week.
I received a call from our credit card company last night that there was fraud on our account for the second time in the last six months. This time they caught it before it went through, but we still need new cards. I'll have to spend some time this weekend updating all of our auto draft bills to the new card, which is supposed to be here today. I'm grateful that the system caught fraud, but dammit, this is annoying to deal with again.
Sat - cleaning, gym and grocery shopping. Mystery shop a movie in the evening. I think we'll see Rogue One. H has already seen it but I haven't.
Sun - two friends are coming over to watch football with us. It should be another lazy day.
We have restaurant week in January (it was last week) and in the summer. We love it -- $35 for a three course steak dinner at any of the major steak restaurants and many other great deals! But we usually don't spend that much on a dinner out and we are trying to cut back on calories a little so I considered it a win that we skipped it this month. Maybe we'll go in the summer.
Friday: After work I'm trekking up to Boulder to go to Trader Joe's. They have a few things that I just can't get anywhere else (like the little frozen cubes of garlic) so I'm going to stock up.
Saturday: In the morning a few errands. Rest of the day will be spent organizing our basement. H bought some new shelving units for the garage, so we're going to organize that first, then take the shelves that are currently there and move them down to the basement. Then, we'll organize what's down there, and now that we have shelves, I'm going to bring down a bunch of stuff that's currently in the guest room closet. Then, once the basement is organized we can put the dogs down there during the day to run around, since H won't be home, and I'll be gone for about 9 hours.
Sunday: Laundry and lounging and then take H to the airport. Back to our old routine when he used to travel all the time.
Saturday - Driving home and then getting to work finishing our basement project. We just have a little more painting to do, and we need to poly the handrail we installed and stained last weekend.
Sunday - Just running some errands and finishing our taxes. I'm going to file them on Monday.
Saturday-Baby class all day, paid for long ago. Feel like crap that I can't go to a march. Best wishes to all of you going!
Sunday-Small goals. I would like to clean my car, do some laundry, and watch a Pats victory.
I'll probably stop at the local grocery store tonight and grab a few things so I can avoid making a trip to actual town for the few groceries we need.
It's also supposed to be 50 here tomorrow so I'll probably take DD to the park at some point.

For or picky eaters, you can check out Blue Apron weekly menus pretty far out before ordering to tell if there are meals you'd eat. However, it does have an algorithm that doesn't allow you to pick any of the six options, likely to keep you from choosing the thee meals with the most ingredients.
Hello Fresh offered more flexibility. We also ended up with leftovers from two of their meals, so there's some added value there. I haven't posted that one yet, but I can tell you I used MrRebates.com with a coupon instead of Ebates.
Tonight - go out to eat - I have a $25 gift card to use for it
Saturday - I think DD is spending some time with my parents so I'm not sure what DH and I will do
Sunday - relax
I am pretty picky, but the BA menu works well for my pickiness. I'm pescatarian, so we sometimes get all veggie, sometimes chicken/fish/veggie and H just gets two portions of one of the meals. Two veggie plus one fish seems to be allowed only rarely. We like spicy and Asian flavors, which have been heavily featured lately. If a week isn't exciting, we just skip it. If you want meat every meal and aren't a fan of adventurous flavors I've heard good things about Home Chef, but BA is cheaper so no reason to branch out for us. They also have really good customer service if anything is ever wrong with your delivery.
ETA: Just checked out your blog. We got that shrimp dish too and holy moly it was good! One of my favorites by far.
Our city has a restaurant week in the first week of June, which is just before my and H's birthdays so we like to treat ourselves to a 'fancy' early birthday dinner. Sooo delicious! And it's so fun to try out restaurants we wouldn't normally go to.
I am sorry though. That was a TOUGH game to watch for Packers fans...and I truly expected a much closer game between the two teams. That game was not representative of how the Packers have played this year unfortunately.
I was rooting for the Packers
Hopefully next season I can "smack talk" with @labro
. But the Saints need to at least be halfway decent to smack talk with anyone, lol.
With that said, I'm rooting for the Falcons in the Superbowl. Just because it would be nice for a team, other than the Patriots, to win the SB this decade!
I probably will also root for the Falcons in the Superbowl, for the same reason as @short+sassy :P
The last time the Falcons were in the super bowl I was in the 6th grade, and all the kids did the "dirty bird" dance on the morning announcements each day that week leading up to it.
My mom is a Vikings and Falcons fan. I think she literally cried with joy on Sunday.
