Re: Weekend plans.

  • Today: my trees are arriving today, so we are going to start hardening them off over the weekend.  Also, pizza night.

Saturday: We have a uhaul reserved in the morning to do some large donations.  Our garage is totally full.  Also, we are going to a charity chili cookoff for lunch.  It's actually a huge thing here with like 200+ stalls, all outdoors.  The weather should be perfect for it.  In the afternoon we will do some planting.

Sunday: Possibly some furniture shopping/scoping out for our bed/bath project.  Otherwise, just a quiet day.

  • Today: wfh, get DD#1 off the bus, homemade pizza for dinner. DH has a school event so I'll probably let the girls have a movie night (made homemade pudding too).
Saturday: clean house, grocery shop, errands, dinner with DH's parents, DH and his dad are off to a hockey game. Hope to start quilting a baby quilt for one of DD#2's teachers after the girls are sleeping.
Sunday: laundry, last day of open skate for DH and the girls, meal prep, hopefully finish up the baby quilt, plan next project, relax.

  • Tomorrow I have an appointment with my financial advisor.  After that, I'll probably end up spending most of the afternoon working on their taxes.  Not sure beyond that.

Today - WFH. My sister's dog came over for a playdate with our dog so I guess I'm puppysitting.

Saturday - Not sure what the plan is. We were invited over to a friend's house for games all day but I kind of want to just stay home and get things done around the house so we'll see. Very up in the air.

Sunday - Volunteering for a local charity that arranges a hot Sunday dinner delivery + weekly groceries and other house hold items for needy families in the area.
  • No set plans tonight - probably going to bed early since I haven't had a day off in 2 weeks and I just can't handle working these kinds of hours like I could pre-preggo. I'm wiped.

Saturday morning we're decluttering the house (an ongoing project) and separating out items for a family yard sale in May. I'm also going to donate some bags I have at the house and just generally get.rid.of.everything. Depending on our progress we may go out and start registering for our baby shower before my friends kill us hahaha

Sunday we're having brunch with DH's parents and then continuing with either decluttering or registering (whichever one we don't do Saturday afternoon).
  • Today- not much. Working late then nothing.

Saturday- early class at the gym, work, then we're going to the home expo.

Sunday- class at the gym mid-morning, then grocery shopping and scrubbing floors and baseboards.
  • I sort of have a three and a half day weekend.  I picked up H at noon from the airport and now we're both working from the couch and will go somewhere later for a late lunch (and maybe early Happy Hour?)

No plans Saturday or Sunday, though I need to sweep out our unfinished basement.  And I also need to write a new blog post... I'm thinking either about the apps I'm using or why we didn't stop saving for retirement while paying off debt.  Both topics are in my queue.

Monday I took PTO, but I'll probably work at little in the morning.  Go on a walk with H and then I have a hair appointment at 3.

  • feeling a bit better today just tired from all the side effects I had from a progesterone pill on Thursday.  That was crazy - never again will I take one of those pills

Today DH is hanging out with FIL and FILs son.  He will come home by 4 and I'll want to take a nap for sure.  Probably just veg at home tonight.

Sunday - not totally sure yet - we need to finish delivering DD's bday invites and probably go to target for a couple things.
  • Fri - Out to dinner for a mystery shop.  Come home and write the report, watch a little TV.
Sat - Finish getting all of the tax stuff together and take it to the accountant.  Church in the evening, take some donations with us for the food pantry.
Sun - Not much during the day.  Going to the old movie theater in the evening for their chili, beer and a movie night.
  • @vlagrl35 I hope you had a restful weekend! I had to do daily intramuscurlar progesterone in oil shots for the first 10 weeks of this pregnancy and the exhaustion was brutal. Once I stopped I had so much more energy.

  • On Saturday, we had friends come in from MS.  They'd never been to a Middle Eastern restaurant, so we took them to one of our faves for dinner.  They seemed to like it.  The rest of the time, we just hung out on the deck.  The weather was gorgeous!

On Sunday, H and I went out to brunch.  It was a mystery shop, so that will (mostly) get reimbursed.  Spent the rest of the day relaxing.

  • @LillibetteV - thanks for checking but it wasn't so restful. they wanted me to try the pill 1 more time and I had bad side effects again for 2 days followed by a day meltdown which was yesterday.  Going to give suppositories a shot next cycle.  In the meantime I think I'll be looking for a new OB.  I also need to refocus on what is really important in my life and that currently is my family and what makes me happy.  Kudos to you for trying IVF - I know officially know I can't do that.  I can't imagine the amount of drugs you would have to take.  If it got to that point I would just accept that we are one and done.
  • @vlagrl35 that sucks - I hope the suppositories work better for you! I may not have done IVF if I already had one, but when the best doctors in Boston told us it straight up ain't gonna happen without IVF we decided it was the better option than never having our own biological kids. We lucked out that it worked on the first attempt, but yea....it's a LOT of drugs and needles and going to the doctor nearly every day during the cycle so I don't blame anyone who doesn't want to do it.
  • I understand that @LillibetteV - I'm very happy it worked for you especially the first time.
