Re: Happy Friday everyone!

  • Fun day at work today.  Someone decided to make a network change and it's completely messed things up. :(

  • Good morning! It's been a slow week at the office but there are quite a few things to do around the house, so I'm happy the week is almost over. I have ambitious plans for tomorrow.

@labro the dress is beautiful! Great work!

My AW for today is that I've lost 3.5lbs since last week Wednesday, largely by cutting out alcohol. This is the first time I've really lost anything so I'm excited
  • Happy Friday!

I'm ready for the weekend.  Even though it means we're beginning the potty training process with DD.  That's less than exciting. But I'm so ready to get her out of diapers and get them ready for #2 (cloth).

@brij2006 Good luck!!! Hopefully she takes to potty training easily!

@smetter04 Congrats on the weight loss! That's fantastic!
  • TGIF!  I'm off today for a medical procedure, which I'm so ready to be over, though I'm nervous about the results.

Otherwise, we have friends coming into town tomorrow which should be a nice break.

@labro, that dress is amazing!  And @brij2006, good luck with potty training!!

  • I'm looking forward to a weekend with a few low key activities.  We'll have some fun but hopefully have time to feel rested and maybe get a little done around the house.
I have no early outs this month and am not taking any PTO so I really look forward to the weekends!
  • So good to see everyone having a good day! My day will get better when I get out of the office and get to go babysit my niece tonight. I'm in fact ridiculously psyched to hang out with a 2 year old and eat cookies and play games/watch Sesame Street past her bedtime - I'm so sick of other adults this week that tonight will be awesome hahaha
  • Happy Friday! It has been a good one here too. We had delivery sushi for dinner, and tomorrow my best friend is coming to meet the baby. We had some snow today but not enough to mess things up.
  • yesterday DH and I spent the entire day going to some newer wedding venues in our area to introduce ourselves and give out business cards for referrals.  Want to get all that done before it gets too busy!

Today we need to order DDs bday cake for her party next weekend.  I can't believe she will be 6!  Tonight MIL wanted us to come over for pizza for DDs bday early.

Tomorrow - I'm not sure to be honest
  • Well, looks like we won't be doing anything fun this weekend.  The wife works today (as she usually does) and the little one is running a low fever.  And I'll be spending the first half of my morning tomorrow running patches in at work. :(

Thanks lady!  It really wasn't bad.  I think the worst of it was not being able to eat on Thursday, a whole day before the procedure.  I still have to wait for pathology to 100% confirm there's nothing more terrible is happening, but the doc thinks my suspicion of endometriosis is likely right.  This infertility stuff is a B.

Ugh….I'm sorry :(  I can't imagine the frustration you've been thru.  I'm about ready to throw the towel in myself.  I've done a lot of soul searching lately.  My progesterone levels are in range but on the low side so I'll try supplementing it.Then I start to get paranoid about having weak/old eggs and maybe I'm just too old for this stuff anymore.  In hindsight I should have started a couple years ago for #2 when I was 34.  Who knew though?  I'm working on letting go right now and trying to enjoy life by living in the present moment.  I need to dive deeper into yoga, work more on my business….and i know it's only about 2 months away and we don't have much time to save money but I really would love to go to the beach for my birthday.  Somewhere in FL maybe.

I hope you are able to get an answer and a plan soon! Infertility sucks.

My Friday night ended up being less fun than I hoped. My niece was feeling like crap (either teething or coming down with something) and instead of play time we had an hour long meltdown before she finally cried herself to sleep. Poor thing.

Oh poor thing! And poor you too! Babysitting has the potential to be so much fun, but when it's a bad night, it's a bad night. I'll never forget when we babysat our niece when she was 4 months old and she screamed non-stop for 2 hours before we surrendered and had to call mom and dad.
