Tonight DH needs to get up on the roof and check for hail damage and any loose shingles...don't think we'll see anything but we had a pretty crazy storm sweep through last night. Dumped nearly 3/4 of an inch of rain, and pea size hail. It woke both of us up and I kept expecting to hear glass breaking or branches falling from how violent it sounded. The NWS warning called for 60 mph gusts but our little weather station at our house only tracked 10 mph max speeds.
ETA. I need to AW a little bit. Last night I finished a dress for my niece! This was done with my $30 sewing machine from Goodwill. I've definitely found a new hobby/obsession!

My AW for today is that I've lost 3.5lbs since last week Wednesday, largely by cutting out alcohol. This is the first time I've really lost anything so I'm excited
I'm ready for the weekend. Even though it means we're beginning the potty training process with DD. That's less than exciting. But I'm so ready to get her out of diapers and get them ready for #2 (cloth).

It's been a crazy two weeks for H. He got a job offer, that he accepted last Friday. Then, his current job countered on Monday, with a salary increase of over $50,000, not including bonuses, and the promise that the travel he's been doing is kept to a minimum. Like, they pulled out all the stops to keep him there. So, yay! Now, we just have to figure out where to start with that $50,000 extra salary (and that doesn't even count his quarterly bonuses which add up to another 20% of his salary over the year). I asked him if I could be a stay at home dog mom, but he said no LOL! (I was only kidding).
I have no early outs this month and am not taking any PTO so I really look forward to the weekends!
Today we need to order DDs bday cake for her party next weekend. I can't believe she will be 6! Tonight MIL wanted us to come over for pizza for DDs bday early.
Tomorrow - I'm not sure to be honest
My Friday night ended up being less fun than I hoped. My niece was feeling like crap (either teething or coming down with something) and instead of play time we had an hour long meltdown before she finally cried herself to sleep. Poor thing.
