Re: TTC/3T Check-in

  • present - sigh lol.  I'm just really tired.  Tried a P pill last week and gave me horrible side effects so I'll try a P suppository later this month.  AF came and went within the last 3 days.  Seems lighter than normal and maybe 1 day of spotting beforehand.  Not too happy with my OB currently so I'll be interviewing a couple more later this month from different practices.  It seems the journey never ends…..
  • hope everything is going really well with you @FutureMrsWright2012 - I hear with twins you can be more sick so I hope that's not the case with you :)
  • @vlagrl35 I'm sorry that things aren't going easily.  This sucks.

  • It just seems its been going on forever when it really hasn't I know - We've really only been TTC 7 months.  We did not in Dec cause I was pregnant and Jan because I was sad and didn't care.  Bad dream last night that my dog was dying - ugh I just need to refocus and do some yoga. @ilovewhitevinotoo  I told DH this morning I"m probably barren, he told me to stop thinking that way and then I started crying again.  I have no idea why I'm so much more emotional this cycle.  I even got nauseous today and thought "maybe" but it's probably just too many supplements I've taken hoping to help my allergies.
  • I think it was you @ilovewhitevinotoo that I was talking to when I was pregnant in December.  Remember how my OB said it was probably the HSG I had giving me false pregnancy test positive and I was worried sick?  Well after realizing she wanted me to try this horrible pill again because maybe my side effects were a 1 time thing, that comment back in december, and her thinking I popped out a random egg in dec because my numbers weren't matching with my O dates - I've just realized she's not the one for me.  Even when my nurse wasn't around last week and I wanted my supplements for P the suppository kind.  I wanted her to push them thru on Ins - she wouldn't help me out.

I do have good news - there is a compounding pharmacy that I can get them from for only $2 a pill and I don't need pre authorization.  I'm going to pick up 5 today to take later in March.  I'll know pretty quickly if they affect me or not.
  • Have you seen an RE (Reproductive Endocrinologist)?  You're over 35, right?
I'd recommend thinking about seeing an RE instead of an OB.  Honestly, they know a lot more about getting pregnant than an OB does.  An OB is perfect for when you are pregnant, but an RE can help better with the fertility-related questions.  After 35, a six month wait will warrant a visit.

  • @ilovewhitevinotoo - our insurance doesn't have any fertility coverage so that's why I have not seen an RE yet.  Even though I am 36 I still want to give us a full year before seeking outside fertility interventions.  Current plan is to  try the P suppositories out for a few months and if no BFP by June then I will try clomid/femera out and if nothing by 3 months of that then I will look into RE's. We are really tight on money currently so I don't want to use it and be even more stressed.  Also I think I can't handle much more stress right now so I kinda want to chill for a bit.  We did get pregnant in December so I do know it is possible.
  • Hey ladies!!! I haven't been here in awhile bc the Nest wouldn't let me in. Not sure who all is still around, but just thought I'd say hi! Nothing new here. We're officially at TTC 8 years and 3 months, so that's been fun. Ha. Looking at IVF this summer if we can swing it financially!

    Hope y'all are well!

In Christ alone my hope is found. He is my LIGHT, my STRENGTH, and my SONG!
