I'm curious since it just broke into double digits in my city (as compared to last month's numbers).
What is the unemployment rate in your city/state?
Re: Unemployment poll
City's - 10.3% (and will get worse since a big name company just laid off another 150 people yesterday, so that wasn't factored into that number.)
State's - 7.6%
Per Google:
State - 7.6%
City: 4.40%, with job growth of 1.14%
6.1 % in the state
4.1% in the city
According to Google:
My county: 7.2%
State: 7.6%
As of Dec.
State - 9.5
County - 7.6
It's getting pretty bad here, BMW just let go of about 800 temp workers, so far I haven't heard of them letting go of directs, but Michelan just annouced that they are going to have to do some layoffs for the first time 25 years. My company has started also, theres 3 of the bigger employers in the area, it SUCKS!!
I searched our local newspaper's website for unemployment. I'd heard it all over the news lately since national figures are set to be released today, I think.
Seriously... we need to move! LOL I think my city's are the worst so far... no wonder I can't find a new fricking job!
State: 10.3%
I can't find anything for the city, but RI is so small I would imagin it's bad everywhere for the overall to be at 10.3%
I'm late but didn't see this till now...
NM is 5.1%
Albuquerque is 5.5%
Job growth is -1%
.: Diary of a Recovering Runner :.
Town: 3.7%
County is around 20%
State: 4.6%
I realize the 20% looks crazy high but FWIW, that's actually what it has been around here for a long time. There aren't a lot of people losing jobs in this area.
