I hate awkward moments

Like when someone tells a joke or a story and they think it's HILARIOUS and they are dying of laughter and you just don't think it's funny at all but you have to pretend like you find it amusing.

It annoys me when that happens.  Just had to share.

Re: I hate awkward moments

  • I also hate those moments.

My peeve/annoying moments are when my employees are sitting in my office when I am visibly busy. They start talking about their daughters games.....Johnny's morning tantrum .You name it. YAAAAAWN, oh and GET OUT.

It's been a day and a half for me can you tell?

  • I hate it when my in laws ask me about my business, as in how much $$$ I'm making. Awkward!
  • kinda have to do with the post (a stranger/msg board lurker) asking you..

how is the quitting going? i saw an article-  that philip morris wants to raise prices on cigs- and thought of you.

  • If it's not funny, I don't laugh.?I don't pretend to find anything amusing.

If someone's not funny, it's not my fault the person's not funny.

Laughing only exacerbates the problem because the person will continue to think he or she is funny and will proceed to tell more unfunny stories.

By not laughing, you do everybody a service by curbing the unfunniness.?

    Yes
  • YOu know how I feel sorry for people so easily though.

     :-/

  • By humiliating the person the one time by not laughing, you are saving the person from further humiliation in the future.
  • I'm usually that person that is laughing.  Zip it!
