Do you think this counts as walking?
David will walk between DH and I if he's in the mood. He was doing really well this weekend and going about 10 feet at a time. He'll actually stand up on his own too and not even realize he's doing it. However, when he notices nobody is holding his hand, he'll stop and then slowly drop to his knees.
He will, however, grab your hand when you are sitting down and would like for you to go with him. He barely holds on to your finger but just wants that support if need be.
Re: Do you think this counts as walking?
I think he's really close and I'd count it.
This is how Catherine was/still is, if she doesn't think anyone is looking she'll do great, she was all over the place this weekend and she walks like a champ if she's holding onto your finger or the diaper bag like she did on Saturday and she barely holds on. The second someone wants her to walk to them, her knees slowly go to the ground. This weekend though was a turning point as far as her just going on her own.
We're the opposite, people were looking at us on Saturday like we were forcing her to walk b/c she's so little. They'll do it in their own time, I almost don't want her to be totally free as it's already hard to catch her when she's crawling, when she took off Saturday morning we were upsatirs and she went straight to the stairs.
I think people just say things for the sake of saying something, this lady on Saturday told me that she was very alert and when I said she was 11 months the look I got was unreal, almost as if I was stunting her growth or something, nope her daddy and I are just short.
