Re: izzy...

  • We're really only aiming for a house in Mt. Laurel. The taxes aren't crazy and the area is nice and convenient.  We found a few houses we liked, but the prices are still kind of high for what we want.

Ideally, we'd like to sell the condo for a profit to put towards a downpayment, but right now they're selling low so we'd actually lose money.  That's why we've been considering renting it.  We should be able to have the mortgage payment covered by a renter.  The only problem is that we were counting on the condo sale for part of the downpayment and we'll need a loan with low downpayment and low interest.

So right now we're trying to get our money together in the next couple months to see what kind situation we're in.  It's frustrating because the market will rebound in the next couple years, but we want to jump in while the interest rates are low.  Either that or stay in the condo until the prices go back up.

  • that is exciting.  i love looking at real estate. there should be some good deals out there!
