Ughhh....anyone else really struggling with the daylight savings time conversion?
I want my freaking hour back, and I want it to be starting-to-look-like-daylight when I get up.
All of this morning zombie-ness is NOT worth 1/2 hour of daylight after I get out of the gym at night.
Re: DST=Zombie
I forgot to change the clocks on Saturday night before going to bed, so Sunday was a mess for me. Monday morning it was not easy to get up, today wasn't either. I actually skipped my morning workout today because I wanted more sleep.
I would much rather have light in the morning, it makes getting up much easier.
It takes me so long to adjust to the time change. Then I sat in long traffic all morning so I'm even more behind.
At least it's light later at night, that part I like.
Yes, I hate adjusting for DST, whether "losing" or "gaining" the hour. It seems even worse now that the change occurs earlier in the spring. I can tell the puppy doesn't get it either, LOL.
Funny time change story: My husband and I left for our honeymoon the Monday after a fall-back. We reset all the clocks in the apartment, and set the alarm to allow enough travel time to get to the Baltimore airport. As we were driving to the airport, I started panicking because it seemed like our trip was taking too long and we'd miss the flight. I was so confused because there wasn't that much traffic or anything. When we got on the shuttle people were talking about getting on flights even later than ours - ??? We ran to the check-in, thinking that we had only 30-minutes until take-off, and the woman at the counter told us to relax. Yes, like an idiot, I had NOT reset my watch or the clock in the car.
LOL That's the kind of thing I would do -- forget the watch/car clocks!
Our pup doesn't get it either...my alarm went off this morning and she's looking at me like "why're you getting up in the middle of the night, stupid?"
I have actually adjusted pretty well, surprisingly...I know 2 of my co-workers overslept on Monday! When I got there at 7:55 (we start at 8), I was the first one there and I thought maybe I put my clock ahead too far.
I hate DST too.
Oliver was so freaking sick late Sunday night from about 11:45ish til 3pm yesterday. I was screwed up from the time change, so I was wide awake the whole night. I was wide awake when he started puking til the other 2 dogs got up at 6am. Surprisingly, I was wide awake all day at work yesterday. Then, I sat on the couch. Wrong move. I woke up with 1 minute to spare before my grad class... awesome. Good thing my "classroom" is right upstairs from my couch (online classes). I hate that it will take me about a week to adjust right!
Usually DST in the spring is the hardest for me and it takes me a few days to adjust. Yesterday, however I was wide awake at 5 (usually when the alarm goes off--and lately, NOT when I've been able to get up) and today I got up easily as well. I'm waiting for it to hit me--maybe I've been spared!
I've loved that traffic (and my Starbucks line!) has been much shorter/lighter!?
