Well I failed my 1 hour glucose screening so I'm going in for my 3 hour glucose test tomorrow morning. Wish me luck! The worst part will be getting my blood drawn the 4 times
I hope I pass this test otherwise I'll be diagnosed with gestational diabetes and won't be able to enjoy all the yummy treats I'm used to!
Re: Glucose test
The same thing happened to me and I passed the 3 hour. Just make sure you bring something to read or to keep you occupied. ALso, keep track of the time yourself too. If I wasn't paying attention, they forgot I was there. (FWIW, I had to go to the hospital for the test, not my regular dr's office).
Good luck and if you are worried about the blood draws, ask if they have the children's size needles. I asked for those and found out that I didn't bruise as much, if any from those.
Oh no!! I'm sure you'll pass the 3 hour, like Kristi I've heard alot of people that fail the 1hr pass the 3 hour. Take lot's of good gossip mags with you!!
It wasn't too bad...but to anyone that has to take a glucose test in the future I suggest trying to get the lemon lime drink. It was much better then the orange one I had last week.
Hopefully I'll hear back about the results in a couple of days. Thanks for wishing me luck!
I hope everything comes back fine!
