Perdue chicken

I just saw a commercial that their chickens are raised cage free and hormone free.  I never knew this...did they just start advertising about that?  I am going to be sure to buy Perdue chicken from now on.  :)

Re: Perdue chicken

  • Oh yes, I love Perdue chicken. I don't know if that's new or not but I just ordered about 15 lbs. of Perdue boneless/skinless chicken from Peapod. Sure does make me feel even better about my decision!
  • FIFTEEN POUNDS OF CHICKEN?!  Holy chicken!!

I'm not sure if it's new or just a new spin to their advertising (like they've never broadcast it before).

We just buy whatever's on sale - sometimes Perdue, sometimes store brand, sometimes Tyson.

  • We <3 Boneless Skinless Chicken breast and it was only $1.99/lb. $1.99/lb for Perdue is an awesome price IMO so we couldn't pass it up.

Michelle, I LOVE peapod.  My list is setup online so it is so easy to go on and shop.  Chicken, not so much since I have been pregnant.

I've never used them before but we got a flyer for $20 off our first order + free shipping so I figured what the hey. I ordered on Monday and they came this morning while Mark was home. The guy walked up our stairs and put our groceries in our kitchen. Mark wanted to carry them but the guy wouldn't let him - LOL. He said the guy was very nice! I think I will be ordering from them again!

Online grocery shopping & delivery. You shop online for what you want and they deliver it to you. Pretty good prices too!

  • I saw that Perdue commercial too and I think I remember seeing something about that before too. So maybe it's something they've always done and are just making sure everyone is aware now.

Michelle I LOVE using Peapod too! I don't use them as often as I'd like but when I do it's so easy!

  • I <3 boneless chicken breasts as well, but DH gets sick of it quickly.  I just bought two bags of frozen chicken breasts that were buy one get from free for $12.99.  I think there was 3lbs in each bag so that would out to be a good deal.  It was store brand chicken.

Does peapod service all of the US or just you big city/suburban ladies??

I believe there is a place on the website where you put in your zip code and it will say if it delivers to you or not.

  • Don't feel bad Graves.  I'm 100% certain (without checking) that they don't deliver here either.

Side note: I knew that about Perdue chicken.  I'm not sure how I knew though....
