Would you consider getting botox, restalyne, etc.?
I saw a friend/prof colleague the other day that I haven't seen for a few months. She's 33 or 34. She looked fantastic. She was always gorgeous to me but God honestly she looked 10 years younger. I told her so and she said she went to a Botox party in Feb and did I want to go to the next one she is invited to?
I thought that was kind of young to start getting treatments, but man it's tempting after seeing her results.
WDYT? Totally ok with it personally and for others or just a big no no?
Re: Would you consider getting botox, restalyne, etc.?
Not for me but I wouldn't judge anyone else who did/will.
We should go together.

Nothing breeds faster than Crazy
My friend worked in a dermatologists office so I will admit I did it a couple of times on my forehead because I got it for cost ($50). It made a huge difference and I looked so much better. She moved out of state so I have not gotten it done in years. If I could justify paying full price I would do it again in a heartbeat. It's a little painful.
My sister gets it done on a regular basis and it has helped her a lot.
i'm not cool with needles.
so, not for me.
That's just me though- I need a nose job like crazy but refuse to get one.
<shrugging shoulders>
I've had friends who had it done at all stages of aging, and I think it works best when it's subtle and they stay away from crows feet and too many fillers. If you get it done around your eyes you run a much higher risk of losing a lot of expression in your face.
I have lines on my forehead that will probably be more pronounced in a few years and I wouldn't mind getting some botox now just to try and prevent them from getting worse.
I'd stay away from botox parties unless they're held in a Dr's office by an actual Dr., I know lots of women have at home parties but they're not as safe.
I was terrified of getting it done around my eyes so I passed. With just the forehead my face looked the same minus the wrinkles. I was still able to make facial expressions just like I did before. I think those housewives got a lot more done than Botox.
My sister is the biggest wimp when it comes to anything medical/needles (she fainted when she got her ears pierced) yet she still gets it done.
Yep. And haven't you noticed that people who Botox for long enough start getting wrinkles in strange places on their face? It's like having your face frozen in certain places will cause it to crack in other, not so normal ones.
Besides, having a toxin pumped into my face freaks the heck out of me.
Personally I would only do it on my forehead since I seem to wrinkle my forehead so much, but I wouldn't mess with the rest of the face. My mom has a beautiful face, but I'll have to see what I look like in the next few years.
This.
I have an addictive personality, so if I liked the results I know I would go crazy with it and end up looking like a freak show.
I DO want a nose job...like, yesterday. Anyone want to finance it for me?
not for me. when i think botox, i think botulism, a nasty little disease.
that being said, i'm not one to judge if someone else did it. their face, their choice. same goes for plastic surgery in general.
I go to a gym in Laguna Niguel and let's just say some of the older women that have had work done there scare me. There's a certain point where it can make you look good, but it seems like a lot of people cross the line, and it's obvious. I don't think that's attractive.
I would rather have surgery on my body (aka boobs) than my face.
Below neck work doesn't seem nearly so frightening, does it? If something goes horribly wrong at least your clothes will cover it. If something goes wrong with your face? You have the potential to go all melty face Michael Jackson with additional attempts to correct it. eek!
This. I have also been self-policing myself since my 20s about not making too many squinty, screwy facial expressions in an effort to ward off lines on my forehead. It seems to be working out okay for me.
I would probably get a boob lift and reduction though.
this
and this...
I got my nose done about 4 yrs ago and that was terrifying enough, plus I think getting things removed I'm more ok with than injecting/putting things in (i.e botox, boobs)...if that makes sense...
I don't care what other people do.
Their bodies, their choice.
