Barcelona Help!
I know a couple of you have been to Spain (Erin and Kristen, right?), so I am hoping you can help me out! We are 7 weeks away (!) from our Spain/Mediterranean Cruise trip and still have to find a hotel for the Barcelona portion.
We are looking for an affordable hotel (under $200, if possible) since we will be sightseeing most of the day.
Any recs on specific hotels or areas to look at? Areas/hotels to stay away from? I have been looking in the Ramblas area, but it seems pretty pricey for the weekend we will be there (May 8-10).

Sadly, Barcelona is one of the places I didn't get to! So, I'll be looking to you for recommendations for when we plan our 2011 Spain trip
There was a travel segment that was on the Today Show not too long ago about great steals in Spain... one was in Barcelona... I'll try to hunt around to see if I can find the name of it.
We didn't make it to Barcelona either, but I would definitely ask on the Travel board. The girls are very helpful and knowledgable over there.
I'm so jealous of you, Krista! We should a couple people together and either go to Amada or Bar Ferdinand so you can experience some tapas
