Anyone done a spray tan?

If so, how did you like it and was it worth it? I've given up tanning beds because I'm paranoid about cancer and being a wrinkled old woman.

I watched a video clip of me and my friends getting ready for my wedding yesterday and it made me sick. I was in much better shape and way darker! Definitely makes me more motivated to lose some weight - but a tan always takes a few pounds off!

Re: Anyone done a spray tan?

  • i have done it before and wasn't really impressed....but i kow some people who have loved it.  I just felt it didn't last as long as i wanted it to for the price and when it starts going away its weird in the creases (like the elbow joint, the knees etc)...if that makes sense????  i personally wouldn't do it again.
  • I do it every summer. I go to a place in Rancho off Vineyard and Foothill (I think). I get a great package and do it once a week. It's great for people like me who do not under any circumstances tan. It lasts for about 8-9 days so I usually go around day 6 and re-do the spray so I don't get the funky lines that Shannon was talking about. I have to say that it doesn't look as good on people with naturally darker skin, so sorry Hispanic ladies. Make sure you lotion up your feet though, ask Amy and Val, my feet were funky looking for the wedding.
  • I did it once before a wedding and was happy with the results. I didnt have the lines issue either but it did miss a few parts around my arm pits. A CW told me you could buy a lotion thats suppose to even it out in case that happens but I never got it.
  • I've done it before and liked it. Just make sure you really follow their instructions.

Did you ever see the Friends episode when Ross got one? That was true comedy!

  • I went and wasn't impressed. I think I was so worried about funky lines or being orange that I wiped it off or somehting. I didn't see any change.

But I am in the same spot as you right now. I am so white it's disturbing. I really want to go tanning but am so paranoid about cancer.

  • I did it before my wedding and before my baby shower with Isabel. I was pretty impressed. I also don't tan, just sunburn and freckle so I tried the spray tan. Make sure you really exfoliate before you go, put on that special lotion on all those weird places and you should be good

Toward the end of my pregnancy I watched the last season on DVD. I cried like a baby watching the final episode! I have a feeling I'll be totally emo during the last episode of ER too.

  • WinkNo spray tan for me .
