gift recs for 3 year old girl

So my friend's daughter turns 3 soon and I want to get her something educational that she will play with. What did your kids love at that age? Any amazing non-educational toys that you can suggest? TIA!

  • Do it yourself Dress up box.  Include hats, bead necklaces, tiara, dresses, heels, boa.  Go crazy!  It's one of those fun, silly gifts that she will LOVE and it is not educational but very creative.

  • A fun game that we got for our God daughter when she turned three is called Elefun.  It's a elephant that blows littie fabric butterflies into the air and then you have small nets and need to catch as many as you can.  They loved it and still talk about it.  Here is a link:

  • My niece loves anything Dora. I got her a Dora Memory Game when she was 3.

  • Check out Fisher Price's website...they are really helpful when it comes to ages and stages.
  • I second going with a dress-up kit.  My niece just turned 3 in January and she got a few of these kits (different ones of course) and loves them!  She has so much fun dressing up and pretending to be a princess or Tinkerbell or a mermaid, etc.
  • i'm always a fan of books, or at 3, they *love* taking pictures. get her a few disposable cameras. it's amazing what they want to photograph, they can keep the pics forever, and it's very inexpensive. Smile
  • love the dress up idea. Do they actually sell dress up kits or do you have to put them together?
