One Year Wedding Anniversary Ideas...
DH and I have a wedding to go to on May 15th so we decided to stay local for our 1st wedding anniversary which is on the 16th. We were thinking about going to dinner at a nice restaurant and maybe staying at a hotel... any ideas?
Re: One Year Wedding Anniversary Ideas...
Hi Jenn! Can you believe that you've been married for almost a year!
I'm a big spokesperson for cape may, lol. It's mostly always where we decide to go for a night. Congress Hall, The Virginia, and The Sisters are places that we usually stay and love. The Virginia's rooms are a little on the smaller side, but very nice. The Sisters is a small b&b, I think there's like 6 rooms, but very pretty & big rooms, and the breakfast that they have for you is delicious. Congress Hall is also very nice, it's just a lot bigger then the others.
The Ebbitt Room, which is in The Virginia is a great place for a "special" dinner. There's also the Lobster House, which has good food..but it's a big restaraunt and always busy..not very romantic..or The Blue Pig in Congress Hall has good food. The menu's doesn't have many options, so I'd look at it first and decide what/if you would like something. The last time we were there, we went to Martini Beach. The restaurant part was closed at the time, but it should be open now. It was a tapas (is that the word) place, where you order a couple things and share, but the menu looked really good. Steve and I sat at the bar there for a while and had some yummy martini's. The bartender and his wife run it, and were so nice!!
Good luck planning and let us know where you decide to go!
or AC..we've debated going there a couple times, but I always tell steve that I want a "nice" room. I guess I'm a little spoiled, because we usually go to B&B's that have gorgeous rooms..and don't want to have a plain casino hotel room.
While in Cape May, I came across a pamphlet for "The Chelsea" It's owned by people that have the b&b's in Cape May that I listed above, so it has a little bit of a modern b&b look. It looks very nice!!
We stayed at the Chelsea in AC for H's bday in Oct. It's a really nice hotel and close to the Trop. We got a good deal, too.
Cape May - love the Ebbitt Room and Lobster House. yum! And Congress Hall would be a great place to stay. Our house was right behind there last summer - great location.
