Dear Community,

Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

If you have questions about this, please email help@theknot.com.

Thank you.

Note: This only affects The Nest's community members and will not affect members on The Bump or The Knot.

How do I pip?

Re: How do I pip?

  • I'm pretty sure you can right click on a picture (one that is already on-line), select copy, and then right click in the message box and click on paste.

There is also the little tree icon above in which you put the picture URL in the box with that descirption. You can also resize the picture in there too.  If you do that, remember to keep the proportions the same as the orginal or it'll look weird.

  • 1.       Find your picture online.

    2.       Right-click on it.  Click Properties.

    3.       Highlight the ENTIRE address in Address (URL): and either right-click to select copy or Ctl+C.

    In your post:

    1.       Click the Insert/edit image icon at the top of the box (the one that looks like a tree.)

    2.       Click in the Image URL box and either right-click to select Paste or Ctl+V.

    3.       Tab down to Dimensions and resize as desired (I believe the screen can only show 300 width or less.)

    4.       Click Insert.

(For #3, I often will find the ratio of the height to the width and try to get as close to that as possible.  So if my picture is 400 x 300 when I paste the URL in there, it has a 1.3:1 ratio (400/300).  So to make it all show in the post, I?ll change it to 300 x 230 (for a 1.3:1 ratio.)
