I have to brag
Sooooo, there's this book series I lurve. The final book comes out in a month. The author was having a haiku contest to win one of three advanced copies she had to give out.
She just e-mailed me to tell me I won!
Yippieeeeeee.
I wrote five haikus
And they won me a new book
That's really a deal!
This is very good news, not only because I really wanted the book, but also because today was a disaster wrapped in a shit_storm wrapped in a clusterfvck. This was great news to come back to.
Now I just have to go to my writing class where everyone will sit in a circle and tear apart my writing. :- Let's hope the good book-winning luck follows me there and not the crappy, bad day luck.
