AW: I'm going to Chicago!
My second paper from my dissertation has been accepted to the Academy of Management Conference in August. It's being held in Chicago and I'm excited to be going. I've never been there, but have always wanted to visit. Has anyone else been to Chicago? Anything specific I need to do while I'm there?

That is so awesome! I went to Chicago area during August a few yrs ago for a training. During the day, it was HOT, and at night it was a bit chilly. I took a jean jacket and for me that was enough.
I've been wanting to go back for a long time... I've heard it is a lot of fun, with lots to see. I'm trying to convince DH to go for a baseball game.

Yay! Congrats! I can't really tell you specific places you just have to see when you're there, but you definitely won't need warm clothes in August. It will be hot and most likely very humid. Think so-humid-the-air-doesn't-move-and-just-sticks-to-your-skin (although with the lake there it might not be that bad). Ick. I don't miss it all all, can you tell?
I recommend good walkings shoes if you're going to be downtown. The Magnificent Mile is packed with shops and restaurants.

I'm going there in June as I've been hired to shoot a wedding out of town, so fun!! I look forward to it since my husband has never been there. I love my job.
