Re: office pet peeves
I hear you on that one. My favorite is my cube neighbor that sits diagnolly (sp?) from me. She sucks on ice all afternoon and it's so annoying that I have to put my iPod on. I usually only reserve that for when I really need to tune people out because of the project I'm working on. Oh and this same girl eats chips so loudly, you'd swear she was chewing on rocks. Did I mention she sits at least 10-15 feet away from me and it sounds like she is right in my ear?
I'd keep giving her the death stare until she asked me what my problem was. Some people don't know they chew gum annoyingly.
When people try to talk to me when I am obviously on the phone (yes this happens to me quite a lot)
When people try to talk to me about dumb things when I am obviously really busy.
I am sure I can come up with many more, I don't know if I am easily annoyed or if i just work with annoying people, maybe alittle of both.
These 2 things happen to me all the time and annoy the heck out of me!
I have many, I hate cubical life. It's a lot better now that I have moved to a quieter spot.
My biggest is clipping of nails, really that's what your bathroom at home is for, it's one of those things that turns my stomach.
The guy next slurps his coffee, I hate that too.
This! UGH!!

I hate this too. It happens a lot. And then I also hate when they sit in my office and wait for me to finish my phone conversation. That is also annoying.
Yes, this happens more than it should and pisses me off.
YES! People will just stare at me till I'm done. Seriously come back when I'm off. It makes me want to pretend I am still talking even when the person has hung up.
Oh I can't stand that! My boss is the opposite. I'll walk to his office to ask a question and if I notice he's on the phone I'll walk away. But most of the time he motions for me to come in and sit down while I sit there awkwardly while he finishes his phone call.
Kristin: the senior partner here does that to me all the time!
Here's my big office pet peeve. We have 3 bathrooms. One handicap, one men's and one women's. And for some reason NO other woman in this office is capable of putting new toilet paper on the roll. Even worse, none of them are capable of alerting the office manager when there isn't any in the bathroom!
I'm annoyed. I JUST walked in there and there was none yet again. I've even sent out a memo about it!
DITTO. I've tried going to the same freaking stall every time; doesn't help. I've tried switching stalls and even restrooms (we have three nearby for women only; 2 with 3 stalls, 1 with 5.)
Doesn't matter where, what time, how many times I've already refilled BOTH toilet paper dispensers in a stall, I always have to swap in at least 2 rolls a day.
