Re: So proud...
My son is wrapping up the final details that will enable him to get his behind back in school. Hopefully he will be finished by the end of the day and will once again be a STUDENT.
I'm getting close to being finished dubbing a gazillion old video tapes to DVD. I've been working on this since shortly after Christmas. I have maybe 30 left to do. If your parents have old videos you might want to urge them to get those copied to DVD as soon as they can. The videos deteriorate over time and those memories will be lost.
Wow!!! So many things to be excited about!!
Lindsey- that is soooooo exciting about your new home! I bet you have butterflies!!! That is exciting that they have the frame up! When will your house be finished?
Closing is set for June 30th, but they will be finished before then. I'm hoping they will want to close early, I wish we could have moved in before the baby comes! We are stuck in a lease until July though, so they set our closing to work around that.
That is great!!!!
We're closing on our house on April 9... I can NOT WAIT!
Well you're the lucky duck that's building from scratch
I would love to build our own home one day!
Go you! I'm in grad school myself. What are you going to be studying??
Thanks!!!! I applied to the Acute and Continuing Care Nurse Practitioner Program. I work in cardiac intensive care right now and really want to stay in cardiac. Basically when I finish, I want to work with a cardiologist and monitor his patients while they are in the hospital. I;m really excited about it (assuming I am accepted
)
My mom has been talking about doing that for awhile. There are video tapes of the pageants I was in in elementary school that she wants to convert to DVD....and I have a bizillion of tapes of shows that I used to record, and it would be nice to see those again.
Hmmm....I might as well give a proud moment. Nothing out of the ordinary happen today, but last night my trainer took me on an excursion through southside. We started at the UAB Rec Center and went all the way to Vulcan and down the trail, through Glen Iris and back through UAB. We did a combo of walking and jogging and if anyone is familiar with 20th street - the hill that runs from 5 points to vulcan, yep, he made me run that entire hill, it was torture, but I made it! From there we ran/walked in 1 minute intervals and when we were going through glen iris we did it in 30 sec intervals. It was a great workout! It's amazing how much different my body feels today!
Awww!!! That is so sweet!!! My husband was adopted, so I love hearing adoption stories
