http://www.dressbarn.com/flashHome.jsp?page=missesLookbook

the dress is on page 15.  it is the 3rd dress from the left (cream with black).  sorry i can't copy and past the picture or exact page.   do you think it's too much cream to wear to a wedding?  thanks ladies!

Re: would you wear this dress to a wedding?

  • Oh, that's cute!  I would wear it to a wedding.
  • I think it is a real cute dress!  If it didn't have that black sash under the bust I'm not so sure I would wear that to a wedding but that "extra" black makes it better.  I still don't think I would wear it to a wedding though...that is just my opinion though.  I try to avoid anything with a lot of cream/white in it.  Now the 2nd dress from the left, for example, would be nice for a wedding.  I know I make a bigger deal out of things than I should but if I had to question whether or not it was appropriate than I wouldn't wear it.
  • lesli - i was thinking it would be too much cream/white..that's why i wanted your opinions.  i have heard in the past not to wear white to a wedding because you will take attention away from the bride.  i just wasn't sure about this dress...i do like the second dress from the left too. :c)
  • Yeah I really do love the dress.  I just over think things too much so don't listen to me...LOL!  When I saw that dress the first thing that came to my mind was a rehearsal dress for a bride-to-be.  I personally just try to stay away from anything that has too much cream/white in it...however anything goes with weddings these days.  Good luck deciding!!  : )
  • That's really cute Allie.  It reminds me of something you would see from White House Black Market.  I think you could definitely wear it to a wedding...when I worked a lot of weddings a few years ago I saw tons of dresses from White & Black and they weren't people who were in the wedding.  Depending on when the wedding is you could always do a black pashmina wrap to break up more of the cream.  I think it ultimately comes down to whether you'll feel comfortable.
