What a glorious day it is.
I just spent a lot of time outside on the patio today. We (Bob) has planted blackberries, onions, tomatoes several varieties, radishes, carrots, watermelon both red and yellow, cucumbers, squash, okra, peppers, sunflowers, marigolds, salvia, wave petunias, bog lilies, agapanthus and a lot of flowers I cannot even remember. The garden should blow up this summer! I wish ya'll lived close enough to share in it, we always have more than we or our neighbors can use. I think it's time to think freezer. So what's everyone been up to?
Re: What a glorious day it is.
I think today's going to be just as pretty. You reminded me...my hair is a disaster I need to take care of.
I wish I lived close to you...I love fresh veggies in the summer. I really want to do a small garden, but I don't think we have a good place.
I'm thinking about getting one of these. Do you think it would really work?

I've never had one but I've seen them around for years. I don't see why it wouldn't work and possibly work better than having the tomato plants in the ground. What I've read says that the warmth they get from the roots being up and getting the heat of the sun, makes them produce earlier and yield more tomatoes. For anyone who doesn't want to expend a lot of effort (weeding, etc.) and has a place to hang them, I'd say it's definitely worth trying.
wow- that's awesome! ?Hannah and I planted some Zinnia seeds and some strawberries and I thought that was enough! ?lol ?:)
It's been so nice this weekend- I had my Easter mini-sessions this morning and then spent the afternoon out playing. ?Hopefully tomorrow will be just as nice!?
We have enjoyed the nice weather all weekend!! I browsed around Lowe's yesterday and I am excited to put some color in my flower beds again
J....I hope all your hard work pays off. That is a ton of hard work you guys put into that!!
Hey everyone! It is SOOO pretty outside. I am about to leave to go to some meetings so I am glad that I have a reason to get out and enjoy it. We planted some basil, mint, rosemary, tomatoes and peppers last weekend. I really would like to think of some other things. We tried squash and cucumbers a few years ago, but they didn't work out so well.
We also got a new bright green patio table umbrella this weekend from Lowe's and lights to go with it from Target. So our backyard is looking good for spring and summer!
