Anyone ever stayed here? Some of H's coworkers got an amazing deal for Memorial Day week--$355/pp for 3nights including nonstop round trip flight, hotel and taxes, etc. I'm not sure if we're going yet, but it seems like a pretty good deal

That's our anniversary weekend too.
Re: Mandalay Bay--Vegas
We haven't stayed there, but we spent some time shopping and drinking there. Sounds like a good deal to me. I think there's a difference b/w Mandalay Bay and Hotel Mandalay Bay, not sure what it is though. I would think that both have access to the beach, I think it's the largest pool area in Vegas. There are some really nice shops there and a cool bar called Rumba. The only drawback that I could see is that it's at one end of the strip. Don't know if you've been to Vegas before, but it's closest to the Luxor, Excalibur, NY NY, MGM and Monte Carlo. There is a mono rail that runs b/w these places. You might want to take a taxi to places like Paris, Bellagio, Veniatian, Planet Hollywood & Ceasar's.
I found a great deal in Oct $464 for 5 nights & the Paris Hotel, including airfare (1 stop). That'd be our anniversary weekend too. I haven't booked yet though.
I'm going to Vegas in April and that is about the same deal we got. Except with a way way way shittier hotel. Seriously. I'm packing Lysol.
At least the economy is good for travel steals.
lol Eva. I've stayed at NYNY and a time share. NY-NY wasn't bad and we could walk everywhere. The time share was off the strip, so we had to take the shuttle or cabs. My aunt rented a car, too. so we only took cabs when we went out at night.
H and I want to go to Vegas sometime next year, but we'll see if I'll want to leave the baby. I'm also thinking about just planning a beach vacation with my family so we have babysitters.
I let mh plan the trip and go to look up the Tropicana on tripadvisor... yeah. Mirrors above the beds. Bamboo Hexagon Mirrors. Last time I ever book a hotel without checking trip advisor first.
I'd do the family beach vacation. You guys can rent an entire beach house and you'll have tons of baby sitters.
