Central Pennsylvania Nesties
Dear Community,
Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.
If you have questions about this, please email help@theknot.com.
Thank you.
Note: This only affects The Nest's community members and will not affect members on The Bump or The Knot.
Like spending time on the Central PA Board?
Like spending time on the boards already? Want to lend a helping hand? We are looking for moderators for The Nest.
Don?t worry, we?re not trying to change the climate of the boards. We just want to try and minimize spam and advertising as much as possible.
In order to become a volunteer moderator, you must:
*Be an experienced poster. Nope, you don?t need all the blue squares, but you do need to be a regular poster who spends a few hours on the boards each week.
*Have a strong interest in the Central PA Board.
*Plan to stick around. We?ll need the volunteers to commit to a few hours a week of reading and posting.
*Be accepting of other?s beliefs--even when they?re seriously wrong.
Do you fit the bill?
If so, answer the questions below and email your replies to moderators@thenest.com with CENTRAL PA in the subject line:
1. How long have you been active in community?
2. What board or boards are your favorites? Would you be willing to moderate any of these boards?
3. How often do you visit the boards and about how much time do you spend per visit?
4. Describe how you are already fulfilling a leadership role on your favorite board.
5. What is the best way to handle disagreements on the boards?
6. How would you like to see The Nest respond when there's a problem?
7. In the past, have you stayed neutral during heated discussions?
8. What is your username?
We greatly appreciate each and every application we get, but might not be able to respond to all of them. If we feel you?ll make a good moderator, we?ll be in touch.

Knot Anni-
I mean no disrespect whatsoever but I don't feel the Central PA board really needs a moderator. I can understand the nest needing them for the national boards and for the larger local boards like Pittsburgh, Philly, Houston, etc but this is a small board and for the most part pretty drama free.
If we absolutely have to have one can we nominate someone? If so I nominate The Link Bride although I know she's super busy with grad school, she's on very regularly and always respectful of other's feelings.
*Stacey I'm sorry if this is not something you want to do but you're probably the fairest nestie on this board*I second this nomination
I totally see what you mean about it being drama-free, but moderators mostly contact us about issues you guys are encountering like spam and multiple posts. I don't really expect to hear from the Central PA board very often, but I think it's good to have one person who can contact me when you guys are having problems with the site so that we can take care of it quickly! This doesn't mean the dynamic of the board will be changing in any way, shape or form!
LOL! Stacey for Moderator! She's the Nestie we all adore
How's that for your campaign slogan ?
