Who wants to see...

My new puppy???  Here he is at 2 weeks old!  I can't wait for him to be old enough to come home with us!

  • Awww...he's so cute!! Any names yet?
  • He is such a cutie! It looks like he's getting more brown on his legs and cheeks!

  • He looks so tiny in that 2nd pic!  In the 3rd pic, I love how he looks kind of like "I'm coming to get you... except... soooo....sleeepy..." LOL

What a cutie pie!!  You just want to pick him up and snuggle him!

Ditto - any thoughts on names yet?  He's pretty little to see too much personality, but any ideas?

  • No names yet...you guys have any thoughts?  According to the lady who has him he's already growling and he barks but he never whines or cries.  So far he's grown the most (and she said he is always the first to eat) and is quickly becoming the biggest one.
  • Duke is my first thought, but wasn't that Rich's last dog?

He needs a tough, masculine name.  I have always liked god's names for tough dogs:

--Zeus (Lord of the Sky, Gods, and Thunder, also Rain-god, Cloud-gatherer)

--Apollo (God of Sun, Truth, Music, Healing)

    --Ares (God of War)

    --Helios (God of the Sun)

--Jupiter (Roman God of Gates and Doors)

--Thor (Nordic Thunder-god and the protector of men and gods.)

I don't like this name, but I found that Drogo is the patron saint of shepherds. LOL

  • Nope, Duke was not his other dog's name - it was Eli.  I'm thinking Drogo is not a good name - it's kind of weird!  So we'll say no to that one!  I don't know if Rick would like god's names or not.  I'll give those options to him though!
  • I like Thor the best, I think, especially seeing he is the protector of man and gods.  Seems pretty appropriate.  Plus its manly sounding.  Not like if he was training and had to say "Lili,.. sit!"  LOL
  • OH MY GOD! I love him and want to steal him, I won't though I promise :)
  • My dad had a German Shepherd growing up and they called him Sarg (short for Sergeant)

  • That's cute, Kristin!! Definitely a good idea for a name!
  • He is so cute Mandy!!!!!!!!!

  • Oh! Sarg! I like that!

    Oh! Sarg! I like that!

And my German Shepherd growing up was Shep...which isn't very original. :) But I think Sarg might be a good name for your little guy!

  • He is sooo cute.  I love little puppies.  I am sure you cannot wait to bring him home.  GL with naming him.
  • He is so adorable!  He is going to grow so fast.  GL naming him.  I actually like Apollo like Paula suggested.  It's hard picking out names!

  • After thinking about this more (I originally was going to say "Well, keep the names you guys like in mind and when you get him, one name may just fit him better."), but from what the breeder has said (he barks & growls, but doesn't whine/cry), I think he's already a Sargeant!  (In my mind, when I say Sargeant, I think of my brother who used to be a Drill Sargeant in the Army. LOL  That's basically what he did all the time - growl & bark! LOL)
