Hey, how are you? My post made me think of your job situation.  How are things?  Hopefully you can make it there until the baby comes and get your STD leave (assuming this is offered to you by the co.)!

Re: **Kristin**

  • Hey! I'm doing just fine besides the fact that none of my pants want to fit anymore! LOL!

Well our situation hasn't gotten much better. They have both planes for sale and it really depends on when they sell as far as how long I'll have a job. So I'm just happy they're keeping us employed until then. It could be next week or it could be 10 months from now. What sucks is the uncertainty of the situation (of course we're the last to know anything from corporate). The good thing is if I were to lose my job next week I've get enough severance to make it until just after the baby gets here! And yes they do offer STD do if I'm still employed I'll be taking advantage of that! LOL! I have to say that if I had to lose my job...this would probably be the best time for me so I could stay home with the baby for a little while.

I'm really sorry about your job. At least you know what type of benefits you would get if you do lose your job and can be prepared. If it does happen I hope it happens at the right time for your family (if you know what I mean).

  • You've started wearing maternity clothes, right?  I wouldn't imagine that your regular clothes would fit at all.  Either way, you look fantastic.

I have to agree with you that since this has to happen, the timing couldn't be better for you.  I hope the planes dont get sold before you go out on std.  That would be amazing to get it plus your severance!!

The thing is that if they decide to do it, it will happen pretty fast.  I already know what type of severance I would receive and obviously unemployment after that while I look for something else.  Trust me, I wish that we were expecting because it would make it seem like it was happening for a reason.

  • Oh yes I'm in maternity pants! It's just the pair that used to fit has an elastic waistband that sits right at the bottom part of my belly and it's too tight now. So then I try wearing a pair that has a full panel (light elastic that covers my whole belly) and those pants keep falling down. Just annoying but I'll make them work until the end :)

Well that's too bad if it did happen it would be really soon. Any idea when you might find out? I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!

  • There really is no advance warning...that's the tough part.  I am going to try and not stress about it, but easier said than done.
  • Yes definitely easier said then done...but you already know you and YH will be alright if it does happen. You know it could potentially happen so just continue preparing as if it will and you'll be fine. And stressing about it can't change the situation.

And my take on my situation is everyday I'm here at work is another day I'm collecting a paycheck. Think of it that way :)
