Picnic side dish suggestions...
So I caved and am going to picnic in PV tomorrow. My job is to bring a side dish that is not a salad. Suggestions? It'll be at least an hour in the car (we have to stop in LB), so hot probably is not the best plan.
TIA, my recipe gurus.
Re: Picnic side dish suggestions...
Sauv Blanc
or some sort of cold pasta (I guess that's a salad?) or fruit.
Cheese may be TWTG. I have to bring alcohol in addition... And no fruit -- someone else already claimed that. This is what happens when you dawdle about accepting an invite.
Or maybe chips and a good dip?
This salad is the bomb diggity. A lot of chopping, but really really good. People always love it.

Or you could bring taco dip. Delicious taco dip!

This, with olives, cured meats, crackers, and maybe some fruit.
I saw a good recipe somewhere about proscuitto and mozerella wrapped asparagus that looked really good.
Dunno where I saw it, but I wanted to eat some. NOM NOM.
oooo you could do cheese stuffed figs.
or you could do crackers with goat cheese, drizzled with honey and topped with toasted pine nuts. YUM.
