H's friends and their 2 kids from Seattle are staying with us through Monday. We've had lots of people visit us and it's usually fine, but they're a little high maintenance and abrasive. Last night I was playing Wii with the kids and the wife kept telling her kids they were doing it wrong and telling her daughter she had a bad attitude, when they were really just being kids as far as I could tell. Awkward.
Today, H is working from home, and he told me after I left this morning he had to halt what he was doing and take down our internet security so they could log-in on their laptop and then figure out how to hook up the printer, instead of just using our computers. And then the wife was going through our cupboards and said something like, "Wow, you guys have a lot of carbs" and "You really should run your dishwasher."
O_o
So H is leaving on Sunday, leaving me alllllll alone with them. I am thinking I'm going to have to leave for most of the day. I'm a little short of temper and would like to avoid, "Maybe you should stay at a hotel!"
Re: Houseguests
tell them to go to disneyland or knott's or something...on their own.
your H owes you BIG.
I hate those people on your behalf.
So much unacceptable behavior....
Ha ha, that's actually why he called me this morning, besides to regale me with their inappropriate comments, but to say, "Uh....I really think you should leave. I don't want you to have to deal with them." He's been friends with the father forever, and he told me his ex did not get along at all with the mother. Far be it from me to actually agree with her, but it does seem like common sense to have a bit of a filter when you're someone's guest!
Thank you, WeeMo, for hating them on my behalf
If anyone wants a lunch or shopping buddy Sunday, let me know
Run!
Definitely leave them to their own devices.
houseguest are like fish, they both start to smell after 3 days.
i'm sorry you're having to deal with this. maybe next time suggest that your H give them hotel recs. seriously.
