Craigslist postings & trust

I sent an email to a poster in the area asking for help tutoring their 4 1/2 year old about 2 hours a week to get ready for kinder.

I was wondering how much you would trust someone you met over the internet?

If they contact me back I plan to meet them somewhere public, but I know that they will want me to work at home their and I don't know how comfortable I feel with it.

If I wasn't pregnant I'm sure that I wouldn't be so paranoid, but I am.

Re: Craigslist postings & trust

  • If I were to meet her in person and get a good read out for her, I would definately be more trusting. Then again, I work in strangers homes all the time for photoshoots without any prior in person consultation.

If you feel more comfortable, maybe you can meet at a local library near to their home?

  • I'd feel uneasy too. Definitely meet in public first and go from there depending on the vibe.
