How to Save $50/DAY

Yes, you read that right.  Yahoo has an article claiming three families have found ways to save A LOT - some up to $50/day.

Article: http://tinyurl.com/d49o3c

I'm kind of starting to get annoyed with all the articles out there claiming "Save money by X, Y, Z!"  When I look at our family and other families like us (middle class working), a lot of us already do some of those things - consolidate plans, use coupons when available, try to cut down # of trips, etc.  How about some REAL money saving tips? LOL

Re: How to Save $50/DAY

  • I hate reading those articles too!  They all say the same thing in my opinion and it's stuff that most people already do!  Same with the how to get out of debt articles...they say such stupid things as don't use your credit cards anymore...um hello that's kinda obvious.  Who pays these people to write such dumb stuff?

  • I didn't read the article, but it seems like they are all the same...I am sure it says stuff like this, of course, written all clever and they all want to make you bang your head on the table and say "DUH"

    • Instead of getting that monthly mani/pedi, invest in a $3 bottle of nailpolish and do your own nails.  That'll save you $30 right there.
    • Start bringing leftovers to work for lunch rather than joining your co-workers for that $10 deluxe burger and fries every day.  That'll save you $50 a week!

And the list goes on from there, lol

  • I agree these articles always say the same things over and over and are usually things that most families are already doing to save money!
