What I hate about Spring...

Road construction!!  Especially around Hershey as they try to get the projects done before the summer tourist season.  I have a short 6 mile commute to work and there's road work almost every part of the way.

Oh and rain/worms...YUCK!

Re: What I hate about Spring...

  • Ugh I can't stand all the worms that are out!

I agree about the construction, but for me it is during the summer as I am trying to drive 30 from York to Lancaster. Forget it! Blech!

  • Ugh, I agree completely.  I'm sick for road work and it's definitely starting up more in the city.

  • LOL at the worms part, I just posted on another board how much I love to find them in my garden but hate having to Silly Walk around them when it rains.

  • I grew up in the snow-belt part of Cleveland.  My mom always said we had 2 seasons: Winter and Road Construction.

Worms don't really bother me.  What I don't like is pollen that aggravates my allergies.

  • LOL at the worms! It's been fun trying to keep the dog from eating them on our walks!

Ugh you just reminded me of another part with the pollen.  I'm so allergic to it.  Oh joy.

  • The first thing I said this morning when DH and I were getting in the car to go to work was "I hate that when it rains it smells like worms". Plus having to walk around them is not fun either.
  • Uck, yes worms are something to be desired!

    :shudders:

Lady Bugs, DH & I have hundreds of them when the weather gets nice. I used to love them, but now living here there's way too many of them.
  • The other thing I hate is mosquitoes.  I'm allergic to them and they are everywhere right now.  When I came home tonight there were about 20 on my garage door alone.

  • A friend of mine in college slipped on a worm and fell.  I always try to put them back in the grass if I have time.

I am hoping that this weather breaks soon.  It really does affect my mood!
