I just read in your blog that you hit the Rock A Bye Baby store on Saturday. We must have just missed you! We were there (and at Hornings) on Saturday morning, too! I love it there. The owner/saleswoman is just so nice, and they have some wonderful things at pretty reasonable prices. We bought all of Eloise and Maddy's stuff there, and we're planning on getting new living room furniture at Hornings. Did you find something you liked?
Re: *Lesli*
We really did just miss you! We were there around 10 or so. That stinks that it could take 4 months, but I bet it will arrive sooner than that.
btw - Looks like I might need the name of your wallpaper removal guy after all, neighbor.
OMG, WHAT?!? Did you get that house???? I saw that it was "sold" but I didn't think it was you guys. I will be SOOO excited if you were my neighbor!!!
I would be glad to recommend who we used for painting/wallpaper stripping. We used World Painting in NC. They do have a website and it is www.worldpaintinginc.com. They did a fantastic job and their prices are very reasonable. If you do use them, let them know I referred you. : )
Yep, the sold sign is for us! We had the inspection a couple of weeks ago, and got our final loan commitment docs last week! Turns out I also went to school with the sellers' daughter. I'm super excited to get in there and take that wallpaper down, so I can start decorating! I'm really looking forward to the backyard, too.
Thanks for the recommendation for the wallpaper removal company. I will probably need them for this tropical explosion:
YAY!! YAY!! YAY!! Congratulations...that is AWESOME! It is a great house and I can't wait to see what you do to it. You will love the neighborhood. We are going to the HOA meeting tonight to see what this big uproar is all about and why some people are so worked up about the association. I don't know what the big deal is because the association never bothered us and personally, I think there are some people that need to be told to clean up their place.
LOL about the tropical explosion...I feel your pain. We had those and we had watermelon explosions as well. World Painting did an outstanding job though and WELL worth it to pay someone to do all that work.
I'll have to come down and help you move in...although I don't know how much I could actually do. I can come welcome you to the neighborhood anyway and bring you some snacks. : )
You'll have to let me know what happens at the HOA meeting tonight. I was telling Dh I need to figure out how to get elected to the Architectural Control Board or whatever it's called, so I can get those 80's mailboxes replaced! Nothing against them, I just think they look so dated. I already do love the neighborhood....my parents almost built there years ago, and it's all the WSSD schools that I like.
I forgot about your watermelon explosion! LOL! What were these ladies thinking?!?!
