Anyone live in Camden County? (Haddonfield area)

We're in the final negotations for a house in Haddon Heights. We're crossing our fingers that everything will go through.

Just wanted to see if anyone else lives around there.  While I frequent the other Jersey board, I was hoping that there are some ladies on here who could give me recs for, well basically everything, as we really no very little about the area in terms of good peds, resturants, etc..

TIA! Jackie

Re: Anyone live in Camden County? (Haddonfield area)

  • Hi Jackie

I work in Haddon Heights and I think it's a great little town.  The schools are pretty good and the local Catholic school is really large/strong.  There is a little down town area that has some great restaurants as well as Collingswood/Haddon Twp/Haddonfield being great for small BYO's.  I think you'll like here.  We would have if our budget was a little higher.

  • We had our reception in Haddonfield (Tavistock Country Club) and fell in love with Haddon Heights during the many visits to the Club. I don't know much about the area, but everything seemed beautiful, clean, and very accessible. Oh - and like Krista mentioned, the Haddonfield PATCO station is a great, quick resource into Philly!
  • My sister just moved out of Haddon Heights, but still works in the school district.  She loves it there!  They only left because her house got too small for their family.  I went to high school at Paul VI in Haddonfield.  It is a great area, you will love it!
  • I agree - great area and you're close to everything. Some great restaurants - Giumarellos, Kitchen 233, and PJ Whelihan's for wings/beer. Plus many more in Haddonfield and Collingswood.
  • Hi, I'm a new lurker but thought I'd jump in and say Haddon Heights is a super cute town.  I grew up next door in Bellmawr.  I know a lot of people who take their kids to Haddon Pediatric Group on White Horse Pike.  I went there myself as a kid and the doctors are fantastic.  I always went to Dr. Ludwig Schlitt but I'm pretty sure his daughter Stephanie Schlitt is the head physician now.  My doctor that I still see is just a couple doors down at Heights Primary Care (which I also recommend).  You are close to all of the great restaurants in Haddonfield, Collingswood, Cherry Hill, etc. You are going to love it.
