s/o Poll: Who's gonna be your posse?
Mrs. Rod's confession got me wondering...
When your time comes for the delilvery room, who do you want to be there for the action?
Or if you have already had kids, who did you have there?
Re: s/o Poll: Who's gonna be your posse?
I want my husband and that's it! LOL
During labor, I know I'm going to definetly want my mom there, and my sister. But during the actual birthing part, just my husband. When I'm in pain I get extremely cranky and anything annoys the crap out of me, so as little people as possible is my idea.
I'm sure I'm going to have the typical latin family thing. Everyone in the freakin' waiting room will be my family!!! Q' pena!! But I only want my mom and husband there during everything. Reason for my mom is b/c she's a very strong woman and I need someone like that encouraging me and keeping me strong and sane. Or as sane as I can be. Plus, DH gets all weird when he sees me in pain. He can barely stand me having MS. I have a feeling he's gonna faint.
DH and no one else, thank you very much. During the actual labor, I don't think I would want anyone else in there either.
My mom gets on my nerves easily;
my sisters are too young, and I feel too immature (nothing against them... they just wouldn't know what to do);
my dad didn't exprience me and my sisters births, so he has no exprience, and would get weirded out too.
I guess I would like my best friend (a doctor) but she lives OOT, so not very feasible.
So, again, it is Dh and I... we go through everything together, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

I definitely want DH and my mom in the room, and no one else. My mom has to be in the room with me. She's a retired nurse/mammographer and is on top of the medical stuff if something should go wrong. Also, they are the only two people who can calm me down whenever I freak out over pain (I'm such a baby when it comes to pain).
I just had my husband in the delivery room with me! I ended up having a c-section so it was just him, anyway, but I did not want anyone else there.
I think next time it might be nice if I could have my mom in the OR if they will allow 2 people, but I'm glad I had my husband at least.
