P's been so sick.
We had a great day on Monday. We took P to the Easter Bunny, we dyed eggs, had a great family day then P went to bed like usual.
He woke up at 11:00 ish scream inconsolably. I know his cries and he was in pain with tears and everything. ;(
We tried everything, meds, rocking, you name it but he screamed till around 2 am when he finally fell asleep only to wake up again 45 minuets later screaming. It went on all night till around 10 am. I keep going back and forth on if I should bring him to the Dr but there was nothing they could do. He was still eating, peeing, no fever. We kinda thought he might be constipated but I gave him his little suppository the Dr gave me and it didn't work.
So he woke up around 10:30 am after a nap and he was just laying there. I felt him and he was burring up so I took his temp again and it was 102 rectally. That makes it 103. Yikes!!!
I gave him more Tylenol gave him a cooling bath and took him to the ER. The way he looked and the way he was crying they took us right back. His temp was 101.1 when I got there. They did every test you can think of and couldn't find anything "wrong" except his throat looked a little red.
So we've been able to keep his fever down with Tylenol and Motrin every 6 hours and he's on antibiotics but he still doesn't feel well. He crying a lot in his sleep.
I'm gonna give it a day or so but if he doesn't start feeling better soon I'm gonna take him back to his Pedi. This is no fun.
and topping on the cake. I usually O around day 16 or 17 like clock work but this month nothing then finally I O on day 25...Monday night. So we missed it. No baby this month and that means no 2009 baby for us.
Ah well it will happen when it's meant too and P's getting fussy again.
Wish us luck!
Re: Holy hellish couple of days
I hope P feels better soon. ?Poor guy.
I'm out on '09 as well. ?Hell, at this rate, I'll be glad if I get KU sometime in '09. ?Good luck with a January baby. ?:)?
After 2 rounds of IVF & 2 rounds of FET, we were blessed with identical twin girls!
Oh Amy! I'm sorry you're having a rough time. : ( I hope P feels better soon.
Kim ~ 2009 is your year. I believe it. Go frosties go!
Actually Robyn your so right. I'm born in Jan 1970 and have always loved how easy it is to know how old I am.
see 2009 - 1970 = really old or 39 depending how you count it.
Oh Amy...I'm so sorry! We had the same thing with Sarah a couple weeks ago. The urgent care said it was a throat infection and teething, her temp was up to 103.8 when we got her to urgent care. They had us keep her in just a diaper (to keep her temp down) and cool baths seemed to help a lot too. Motrin worked better than Tylenol for her. Finally, on day 3 or 4 (I can't remember, it was a long week..) her fever broke during a nap.
Poor thing.
You're doing everything you can. Give him an extra hug & kiss for me.
Maybe odd numbers freak them out. 2010 has a nice ring to it.
*hugs*
oh man I am soo sorry. Poor little P. And sorry about 2009, but everyone is right about the year. I was born in 1980 and my mom in 1960 if it wasn't for that I would never be able to remember how old I or she is
?
I agree w/ Irma. I'm sorry you're out for 2009, but we definitely need some 2010 babies on the books for us too. Come on 2010
!
Poor little P. I really hope whatever it is has almost run its course.
As for January, great people are born then! But then again my Jan baby got here before the new year! *hugs*
