I was doing fine until

I heard that she won't eat. My sil got her to take an ounce around 9:30 and she hasn't had anything since. :( I am so sad.

Re: I was doing fine until

  • Awww it sucks I know but wait to see how happy Mary will be when she first sees you.
  • True. I swear she smiles when she sees my boob. lol
  • Did you transition her onto the bottle or is this her first day?

  • Aww does Jeff have her now? Maybe he can get ger to eat. Maybe she just isn't used to your SIL...
  • Oh, heck no. We've been working with her for a month and she was taking it just fine. Problem is that she didnt' have a bottle right when she woke up. It was just once a day around dinner hour. (well...like 4ish)

Jeff is with her now and I hope he can get her to take it but I doubt it. He's never given her a bottle. My SIL is the one who always gave them to her. :(

  • She just needs time to adjust. Thankfully you're doing it now rather than when she's a year or two. Then it would be a million times harder. She's a baby. When she's hungry she won't care where the milk is coming from! ;)
  • Isabel was really picky on which bottles we used. Maybe a different bottle might work. ?And even if DH hasn't held Mary that often he's still been around and heard him, so hopefully that will help.
  • Aww, I hope things have changed since you posted this.
  • Awww! I am sure she is fine and will just be that more excited when you get home.

  • Awww, I'm sorry. I'm sure she will adjust, but first she's gotta let you know how unhappy she is about the situation. I hope your H is able to relax with her as he spends more time with her.
  • Aww that stinks, poor baby. Like everyone said, she probably just needs time to adjust. This week will probably be the hardest but you'll both get through it :)
  • I think you have had such a great attitude about this. ?I am sorry there was a challenge today, but like Becki said, I think it will get better soon. ?Hang in there!

After 2 rounds of IVF & 2 rounds of FET, we were blessed with identical twin girls!

Sadly, no. I got home at 4:20 and she's been on me pretty much the whole time. Poor kid.

Thanks everybody. I think it's just going to take awhile to get her used to it. She's really making me second guess my decision to come back to work. :(

  • Oh no!!!

I'm so sorry!!!!! That sucks for both of you!!!

Maybe giving whoever is feeding her your shirt or something to wear that smells like you and is familar(sp).

    Hang in there!!!!

You made the right decision. You need to get out & it's better to do it now. It's only going to be harder (on her) if you try again when she's older. I hope she does better next time.
