I was wrong about Desmond and Penny not being in LA. I love that it totally didn't turn out like I assumed it did.
I am anxiously awaiting internet interpretation of the hieroglyphs. It was fanastic to see Ben in a postion where he was totally not in control.

Definitely a good episode. I hope next week isn't a filler kinda episode since its Miles-centric. Though maybe we'll find out if his Dad is Piere Chang.
I'm looking forward to reading the hieroglyphic translations too . . and Doc Jensen's take.
Ben did genuinely surprised to see Jack,Kate and Hurley in that circa 70s Dharma pic. You never can believe a thing he says though.
It was interesting to see Widmore on the island again. I don't get the whole baby killing thing. And I wonder who Penny's Mom is and if its important.
I'm hating the people from this new plane. And what does "What lies in the shadow of the statue mean?" Is this like a code they have or were they really looking for an answer from Lapidus?
I think I was code for them. Maybe the real temple lies within the shadow? Random thought.
I think the only non-premeditated emotion we have seen from Ben was last night during the smoke monster bit.
Hmmm...Penny's mom is a mainlander from Widemore's other life according to what Ben said as he was leaving. I still sort of thing that is Eloise Hawking, but if it is why would she not tell him how to get back to the island.
Do you think Ben knows about the atomic bomb?
As far as we know Alex was the last baby born on the island before the baby issues. Do you think the island was mad that Ben didn't kill her, therefore all the baby issues?

I'm glad we're finally finding something out about the statue. Its bugged me since Sayid, Sun and Jin seen it seasons ago.
Interesting thought about Penny's Mom being Eloise Hawking. But isn't that Daniel's Mom? And wasn't "Ellie" from the bomb episode on the island . . I took her to be Eloise Hawking for some reason. Do you think they could then still consider her a mainlander if she was on the island at one point? Though if that is the same Ellie it makes sense how Widmore met her and was close enough to her to have Penny.
I don't know if Ben knows about the bomb . . do you think this will come up later andbecome relevant somehow?
That's an interesting thought about Alex BUT I thought only babies who were conceived on the island were in danger. After all Aaron was born on the island.
Can either of post a link to this Doc Jensen business? I love reading theories and thoughts.
That smoke monster thing last night was just odd. It will, however, be interesting to see if Ben listens to his daughter and follows Locke's lead instead of trying to run the show himself.
I'm also curious about these new people from the recent plane crash...I'm wondering if that chick was there on the island before too??? I just don't get why she was asking that bizarre question about the statue.

Jen came up with a really good theory today - she said that maybe the beach gun people work for Ben. That makes sense because Ben would have reason to hire her to get Sayid on the plane.
Oh yes, that IS a good theory and does make sense. I wish my brain would work right and come up w/ some theories too, lol.
