My current pet peeve is people who do not secure their trash when they put it out on the curb for trash day. We live on a hill, so it's windy all the time. When people put out their trash haphazardly, it blows everywhere, into everyone else's yard. I don't want to pick up someone else's trash!
We currently have a Miller Light box in our backyard. I haven't had the chance to go back there and get it. I'll have to have DH get it in time for trash day tomorrow.
All of my pet peeves come down to one thing...I can't stand it when people just have a lack of respect for the people around them.
My pet peeve right now is people that cannot pick a side in a grocery store isle. I prefer they pick the right side, I'm okay with the left side (do you think we are in England), but stay the heck out of the middle, do you really need to park your cart in the middle of the isle or walk up the middle and then glare at people when they are in your way!

This is my pet peeve as well! All of mine boil down into this.
Me too, this is the same regardless of whether it's work, or driving, or out in public.
I have to only name one???
My current one from earlier today...people who don't clean up after their dog at the dog park. I guess they don't think about the fact that others will be walking in the area and might not see the pile of shiiit their dog left and they failed to pick up! Now I have to clean dog poop off my shoes...thanks jack-a$$!
I can't handle food left in the sink!! ?My DH will rinse off plates, put them in the dishwasher, but, forgets about the left over food! ?Drives me nuts!
Also, I can't handle when people have garages bigger than their houses. ?You know, the?detached?ones? ?Can't stand it!

I can't stand when people don't take responsibility for their actions...you screwed up admit it and stop acting like you don't know why X happened nor knew nothing about it.
My other pet peeve is people who incessantly have to tap their foot, swing or drag their feet on the carpet, click their pens, snap their gum, over and over again particuarly during meetings (like mine this afternoon). It's distracting and really irritating. I realize most times people are being absent minded but hello...I can hear you and while you might not be paying attention to the meeting...I'm trying too!!
People who hum or whistle in public. I know it may sound silly, but it's annoys the hell out of me.
There are so many little things that will drive me nuts. I hate it though when someone will be checking out in a store while chating on their cell phone. I've been on both sides of this having worked in retail--its hard to ring someone up when they are paying no attention to you--and waiting in line behind people. What is so important that it can't wait 5 minutes, a lot of the conversation I overhear aren't.
I live in a college town and students drive me crazy too. One of the biggests is they never look before they cross the street (without a walk signal/cross walk), than give you dirty looks for being in the road
