Where do you buy your flowers?

I don't want to go to Lowes etc and I think the prices at Stauffers are insane! Where do you ladies get your flowers to plant outside? Preferably somewhere near Lancaster...

I drive from Maryland to buy flowers in Lancaster. There are a few Amish shops there that are very good and the flowers last so long.

Zook's is one of them that I like. The other is smaller and I just remember the roads that I take to get there so I can't be much help.

We go to Stauffers to get our plants. Like you said, their prices are usually more than most places, but they do have a year guarantee on their plants and trees, so we think it's worth it to spend a little more.

I always think of my Mum-mum's advice when buying flowers:

Buy them from the grocery store or wherever they look the worst, because if those people haven't killed them yet, you can't either.

I like Stauffers...my parents have always had good experiences and gotten good quality plants there. I've also bought from our local Agway since its less than a mile from our house.

I normally bought from my boss whose son sold them for Boys Scouts I think. The rest i would get at Lowes and a few a Stauffers. But my favorite is at Landis Valley during the Herb and Flower faire
