Need some ideas for kid friendly day trips
We want to do a couple of day trips this summer. So far we have Lake Tobias, and Strausburg Railroad. Need some more places that are fairly close (tops 3 hours away). We went to Chocolate World, earlier this year.
Thanks!

Re: Need some ideas for kid friendly day trips
I just made a list a few weeks ago so that I have ideas this summer and now I can't find it! Things I'm remembering:
-Baltimore Aquarium
-Baltimore and Philly Zoos
-Dutch Wonderland
-Sesame Place
-Hands on House
-Zoo America at Hersheypark
-Oregon Dairy(playground/petting zoo)
-Roots and Central Market
This is a great post - great idea! I hope more people have fun ideas to add and we can get a big list going!
The crayola factory?

The Science Factory is awesome! The Whitaker Center in Harrisburg might be good too.
Here are my ideas (some of them already said)
Lake Tobias
Crayola Factory
Hersheypark
Chocolate World/Zoo America
Pinchot Park (close to the Gettysburg area - has nice beach for playing in the sand anyway and areas for picnics)
Baltimore - Inner Harbor, Zoo
Dutch Wonderland
