We accepted another offer last night on the house, so that is good news. But the bad news is that we have a lot of concerns with their financing. They're going FHA so I know there is a rigorous inspection/appraisal for that....and we already know our old house isn't up to today's standards when it comes to insulation, railings, attic vents, etc. I just hope the inspection finds things that can be fixed quickly and inexpensively, or we'll be back to the beginning again.
Anyone have experience with an FHA loan?
Re: Under contract...again.
No personal experience w/ FHA either, but my sister went through FHA when buying her house...it can be a pain. I know they had to put up some railings and fix something else but they were minimal repairs and ones my sister and her husband took on themselves to get the financing.
Hopefully if they find things needing to be done the buyers are willing to work with you to get them corrected so the purchase can go through as planned. I really hope this is the one for you! Good luck, and keep us updated!
I don't have any experience with FHA but did Mrs T get her house through an FHA loan? I remember they had to do all those fixes before they got their financing which sounds similar to what Charlene is describing with her sister.
Good luck with the inspections and what not. I'll cross my fingers for you.
