I hate asking for prayers/thoughts for this. But Greg's Uncle is NOT doing well (hasn't been for about a week now.) Originally, he was given 2 months to live and he's made it beyond that, for which we're grateful.
But most of us have come to the point where we just want him to have some peace. He was hospitalized last week because he couldn't stand the pain anymore (he'd been at home with hospice aid, but he'd gotten to the point where he couldn't eat or keep even his medications down.) He's now maxed out on all of the medications they can give him in an attempt to make him comfortable.
Unfortunately, that's not cutting it. MIL & FIL went down Tuesday to see him (after being told he'd be lucky to last to the weekend.) The drugs are keeping him completely out of it - he doesn't recognize anyone, can't remember much, and is drug-induced sleeping most of the time. (MIL said he'd be sitting there and just fall asleep only to wake up a few minutes later to shift or move and winch from the pain.)
He's MISERABLE (he can't move at all because it causes pain either in his torso, which is swollen and causes pain every time it's touched, or in his head because the cancer spread up into his neck and head.)
We just want peace for him and I ask that you help me pray he get it.
