i need vacation ideas
my husband and i are trying to plan a vacation and i am getting a little overwhelmed by all of the options. we have never been on a real vacation before so we aren't too picky, but also don't know what to look for
things i think we would like to have:
somewhere beachy
all inclusive
not ridiculously priced, i think the most we could afford would be 3-400/night
no kids? i'm not sure if that is going to be a problem but i don't want to go to vacation and feel like i am at the neighborhood pool
we found a great place that has swim up ocean view rooms with a jacuzzi and all of that sounds awesome, so let me know if you have been somewhere like that for sure

I am not sure on the cost, but the resort we went to on our honeymoon was on the Myan Riveria (Beachy), is adults only (no kids!), and was all inclusive. Plus it is only a 2 hour flight and then under 30 minutes from the cancun airport.
We stayed at the Excellence Cancun Riveria
They also have resorts in other beachy locations so they would all technically fit your crieteria.
I do not know when you are going, but I know that the website often has early booking deals and also runs specials all the time. So, I would go see if it falls within your price range because we loved everything about it.
I'm in the process of finding a place for us to go right now. We're probably going to go back to Playa del Carmen/Mayan Riviera, which is where we honeymooned. I would definitely go for an all-inclusive resort. We stayed at The Royal in Playa del Carmen on our HM and loved it, but we're probably going to try someplace new this time around.
ETA: The Royal is adults-only and we are looking for an adults-only place for this vacation as well, or at least a place that has designated kids pools and adult pools.
Are you concerned about traveling to Mexico? That's where a lot of the affordable AIs are.
When will you be traveling? Summer/Fall is hurricane season, so that's always a small thought too for the caribbean.

I just booked our vacation a couple weeks ago at The Royal in Playa del Carmen for next month, May, and we can't wait.
We stayed at the El Dorado Seaside Suites (Riviera Maya) last time and loooved it. AI, Adults only, so nice and relaxing.
This time we're going to party it up in Cancun, baby! Ok, probably not party... but it's a vacation!
We're staying at the ME by Melia. I just need a beach and a margarita and I'm good!
Nothing to worry about all the crime you may be hearing about in MX... that is all centered around the border towns and the tourist areas are thousands of miles away.
We are going to Mexico in a couple of weeks. Not worried although we are rethinking the zipline tour in the jungle. I check trip advisor almost everyday and nobody has had any problems or noticed an increase of crime in the resort towns. The drug wars are along the border, the resort is about as far way from the problem as my house in Keller.
How about Cabo? Pueblo Bonito Pacifica is adults only but you can go to their sister neighboring resort Sunset Beach (where we honeymooned) and also the Rose (fun for a day but I would never stay there) on a free shuttle. Not sure if they have an all inclusive option. I don't go to all inclusive only resorts because we don't drink very much and I like to be able to go out to eat without feeling guilty about basically buying 2 dinners.

We loved El Dorado Royale in the Riviera Maya. The food was soo good for an all-inclusive. Plus it is adults only.
Costa Rica has a very small window of travel due to its wet season. So you could do a few weeks in August or you'll have to wait until late November/December. Plus, you wouldn't want to do an all-inclusive there since you'll really miss out on the ecology and nature it has to offer.
Another beachy rec is Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic. It is affordable and a nice alternative to Mexico. I have been dying to try this resort.
