I feel like I should be starting a blog or something (life of a dairy farmer's wife:), with all these pictures. But, I'm afraid I would spend too much time. I have a "normal" office life from 8-5, but after that, I'm at the farm.
I realized my original Jersey calf was getting kind of big, but here she is. I think she's Petunia.

This one is cuter, I think she's Dolores. She's actually part Brown Swiss instead of being part Jersey.

Last, but not least, there was a new baby girl last night who was SO cute, that I made DH take some pics of us. I was moving her from the barn to her new home so I fed her outside quick because it was SO nice last night. She doesn't have a name yet. I'm taking suggestions:)

If you want to see more pics and our puppy too, I added them to an album called Everyday Life on my photobucket page.

Re: Megan - Here's the calves!
Superstar Willie... I like it! Maybe for the next bull calf I'll have to use that one! Thanks for being interested in my babies:) Sometimes it gets to be long nights at the farm, but you guys help me remember that I'm lucky to have animals and be out in the country air. Hugs to you all.
How many cows do ya'll have? I think the most we ever had was 4 or 5 at a time. But they would jump the fence and get in our neighbors pasture, and they had a few 100 cows/bulls/water buffalos (lol seriously)....I loved living out in the country....its still outside the city limits for my mom but they are building all sorts of subdivisions and crap out there-sad...i think right around my mom though its still 1 house for every 5 acres so thats good. i prefer the country to the city, i h-a-t-e the city, my dad lives in downtown orlando, ugh what a night mare...the traffic, the people, AHHHH....not me i prefer the beach & the woods.
Sting - I LOVE that you are now joining us on here during the day. (however it is kind of a bad habit...)
We milk about 400 cows and then probably have another 400 younger animals on the farm. I agree with you. I like to visit the city, but for home I prefer the country. It's crazy how urban sprawl is taking over some areas though. There are people that live by us who used to farm closer to Minneapolis/St. Paul but sold their land for development and moved. I went to college in Minneapolis, so the main things I miss are being close to the Mall of America, the sports stadiums, theater, etc. Not so much of that in small towns. So I need to find you on facebook so I can see all the TTD pics. Are you friends with the other knotties? Otherwise, what's your email so I can search for you?
your cows are adorable.?
have you thought of calling the new one Honey? I think she is adorable.
you could also call her Spunky, Princess, Muffin, or Dora. (dont ask me where the names came from )?

I have been to minneapolis twice, I flew in there when i was going stay with my friend in Superior WI . and then when i was leaving to come back to FL we went and stayed in minneapolis right by the mall of america, that place was amazing, lol!! We had a great time!!!
Thanks for sharing the pics, they're all so sweet
I never actually saw a real cow until I moved out of Miami, and I see them all the time here in Gainesville. My DH thinks its hilarious how excited I get to see cows, he grew up around them too.
Lisa, they are so, so cute!!!!
I grew up in farm country (my "next door neighbors" were 5 horses) and the small farm closest to our house always had calves. I loved biking by and seeing them change from week to week. Thanks for sharing pics of these beauties!
