More Wedding Fashion Help

Some of you probably saw me mention on my blog or on here about BIL's nicaragua wedding this July and I've been trying to decide what to wear since its suppose to 80-90 and humid when we are there.

So what does everyone think of this?

I'm thinking seafoam or green and I'm bummed that they dont have it any stores near me so I just might order both in 2 different sizes (not sure what size I'll need either) that way I can get the free shipping and just return the extra dresses to the store Big Smile

Re: More Wedding Fashion Help

  • Very cute. And casual if that's ok. I like it though.
  • Its a beach wedding so Im assuming it will be ok, then again never been to a beach wedding...
  • I love it. I would get both sizes. Nordstrom is fab w/returns. Awesome price too.
  • Thats why I <3 the junior's section. You can still find some cute stuff for cheap that isnt necessarily hootchy :)
  • I think for a destination beach wedding it's really cute. You can get some fun sandals and jewelry to dress it up. My only concern is that the fabric might be too casual.
  • Hmm good point about the fabric, I honestly didnt look at that...what would be a more appropriate fabric? I'm afraid to go silk because with high humidity its just going to stick to me...
  • I love it in green! I don't think the fabric will be too casual. Destination weddings seem so much more casual and laid back. But I'm not an expert in fashion, it's just my opinion!
  • Yeah, I wouldn't go silk either. I was just thinking this might turn out to be more like t-shirt material which would look really casual. Then again if this is a casual wedding (and with a beach DW I would think it probably is) then this dress would be good.

Okay, I am apparently of no help!

  • Evening would know! I'm emailing her right now. :D
  • As a woman who pondered the same questions, I would go for a bit more formal looking fabric.  My silk dress was great on the beach in almost 100% humidity.
  • EVENING!! Horray!!

Thanks for the insight, guess I wont rule out silk! Back to the drawing board...if anyone sees a dress that might be noteworthy let me know!

    *swoon* Evening rocks!

  • That dress is HOT!!! Me likie!

I would just wear some bold jewlelry and maybe a flower behind an ear.

Shoes could dress it up.... but Monolos and the beach.... ehhhh.

  • I think its perfect for a beach wedding. I'm picturing some boho-esque gold accessories Big Smile
