I look like my mom.. (poll inside too)

I caught a gilimpse of myself in the reflection of a window this morning and thought it was my mom for a sec Crying and it totoally threw me for a loop.

I mean I have a cute momma and all- but geesh. I'm not ready to look like my mom yet. LOL. It also threw me because I have always thought I looked like my father more than her.. I guess that's changed with the years.

So now I feel like I need a makeover I think. (and a drink)  Drinks

Who do you look the most like in your family? Do you like looking like this person?

Re: I look like my mom.. (poll inside too)

  • Most of the time I think I look like an even mix of both, although there are some pictures where I totally look more like my mom.

My body, however, is straight from my dad's side of the family. This is sad, as this is where the chubby genes are.

  • MH says I look more and more like my mom every day.

I honestly don't think I look a thing like anyone in my family.

  • I think I look a little like my mom. My petite genes are definitely from my dad's side.

I actually think my mom has held up pretty well, especially considering all the tanning she did when she was young. I hope I hold up well, too!

  • I look a lot like my father (well, like a female version of him). Although there are pictures of my mother in her early 20's that look a bit like me. I guess as I'm getting older I'm becoming more of a "blend" but mostly I still favor my father and his side of the family.

It used to bug me a lot, I hated getting the inevitable "you look so much like your father" comments, but now I don't really care one way or another.

  • When I was younger, I used to get comments all the time about how I looked just like my mom.  The older I get, the more I see it.  I have mixed feelings on this.
  • People think I look like my mom b/c of the dark hair, skin and eye color. My dad is fair skinned with blue eyes. My features are the same as my dad's and I'm built more like my grandma on my dad's side. I'm a pretty even mixture I think. Growing up it bothered me that I got my dad's crappy eye sight but not the blue eye color.
  • I look like my dad and have the body genes from his side of the family too.  Too bad bc my mom is stick thin and eats everything and anything she wants but never gains weight.
  • And to add insult to injury my mom on Saturday said... "OMG you look so much like me sometimes... "

     Tongue Tied

  • When I did the post-wedding hair chop, it really freaked me out because I looked a lot like my mom. She's always kept her hair really short and the resemblance really threw me off guard. I definitely look like my mom's side of the family but I can tell you I'm never chopping off my hair again...at least not for a looong time! I do hope I have her genes when it comes to pregnancy bc she hardly gained any weight with my sisters, it melted all off months later, and she never got stretchmarks!
  • When I was little I looked a lot like my Mom. I think now I look most like my Sister but only because our eyes are similiar. I don't know what my bio Dad or his family looks like. That's actually the only curiosity I have about him. I want to know if I have him to thank for my stomach.
  • I look like my mom.  I saw my uncle years ago after not seeing him for a few years and he said "oh, you look like your mom"  My mom is 76 and looks great for her age.  No one ever believes her (or my dad) when she tells them how old she is.  My oldest sister and I look like mom, my middle sister looks just like dad.
  • When I was in sixth grade, my mother brought homemade Taiwanese food for our whole class for some "International Day" event or something like that.

One girl remarked to me, "Ohhh, your mom is so pretty!"

    And then she paused.

"You must look like your dad."

The sad thing is that I do.

    The end.

    DEAD!! Crying

  • I look like me. I'm also the only one in the family who is short. However, my nephew looks like a biracial version of me.
  • I look mostly like my mom but with my dad's coloring. My mom has olive-ish skin and brown eyes, while my dad is fair and has blue eyes. However, my stature is mostly after my grandmother...short and sweet.

    I can't beat this.
  • I have some features that are just like my father's, but I basically look just like my mother.  It kinda runs in her family.  She looks like her mother.  Her mother looks like her mother, and so on.  My mother says that each generation gets better looking and less stubborn.

I've seen pics of your mom and think you totally look like her - I've even said so!

I don't know who I resemble...but at least my sisters and I look related.

  • I don't look like my mom or my dad. My sister used to say that I was the milkman's kid. I do look a bit like my sister though and I've just recently realized that I totally look like my aunt.?

?Fifty: Have you seen yourself in your SP profile pic?? You have nothing to worry about, you're looking hot!?
